I wonder if people are starting to connect the dots.
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 01:29 AM by stratomagi
I wonder if people look at the Sniper debacle and notice eerie similarities to the current administrations embellishments and flights of fancy.

You know, taken on its own, Hillary's trip to Bosnia would've been a great highlight for her campaign...but like Bush when he sold the war she tried to sexy up the facts. I can't help but think of Powell at the UN with his vivid powerpoint slides of these anthrax producing trailers....you know the ones that never existed like the snipers didn't exist on her trip.

She also blames her misstatement on fatigue, which raises the question of her 3AM ad. What would she do if at 3AM she was tired and got a call that there was some threat to a high profile target in a major metropolitan area? Would she scramble our military in search of the Cloverfield monster?

I was under the impression that the American people were weary of the embellishments and the outright lying that got us into war. For certain if we elect John McCain, with all his valuable experience, we will be in Iraq for 100 more years, but if we elect Hillary we're guaranteed at least four more.

On a somewhat related side note I was talking to a friend the other day, who actually did 2 tours in Iraq, and he was saying look, Saddam was already kind of old. We've already been there 5 years. Imagine if we get out in 10...the reality of the lives and money lost is really gonna hit hard when we realize he may have died on his own by this point, especially not having achieved any major stability in that country and probably making them worse off as well as ourselves. All for 1 guy who had NOTHING to do with 9/11.

Can we really afford to put these kinds of people in power?

6. I worry because of the Greta interview
She seems determined to take it all the way to the Convention and fight a bloody battle for the nomination. Regardless of whether Obama has 2,024 including superdelegate endorsements. By God MI and FL will be counted as-is or she will not go away.

9. And even then she could run as an independent
and form the Clinton Party, just like Lieberman did. I'm sure the irony would escape her.

8. A few positives
At the campaign office here in Pittsburgh there are a lot of white women campaigning and volunteering for him. Over the weekend i'll say the breakdown of the packed office full of volunteers was 60% white 40% black in a predominantly black section of town. He's going to be at the Soldiers and Sailors museum in Oakland on Friday and even though I wanted to be there bad I slept in and by the time I got to the office there was this huge, unreal line waiting for tickets...close to 1000, i'll say like 800 people. I couldn't wait, I had to get to work...so i'll probably miss out. After work today I was going back to my car today and some nurses I was in the elevator with noticed my Hope pin and asked me where they could get one...all the nurses were white. So we're defying stereotypes here.

10. my friends in Philadelphia are optimistic
If the PA primary had been held within a week after Texas, Hillary would have cruised to victory solidly.

But she has derailed. This Bosnia story is like a computer virus stealing all of her resources. Unlike Obama, who met the Wright challenge head on, Hillary's explanation (had to stop for the girl, then we ran off of the tarmac) has also been debunked by the same video. She created it, and she continues to give it legs. Her unwillingness to be honest has left her undone.

16. So which do you consider more dangerous?
Making something up to impress the kids at story time OR being so crafty that you can't distinguish between the truth and your own bullshit?

17. Obama has lied plenty
He is therefore Bush. Oh wait, he didn't lie about anything military related because he has never done anything military related. Wow, what a break.

The difference between Obama and Hillary is the press doesn't pressure Obama to the ends of the earth on his lies. They rationalize them away as benign. Never do they "connect the dots" to the foundations of his candidacy. One reason for that is his candidacy really isn't about anything at all, but false judgment. False racial judgment that we can't talk about.

If anybody does have the gall to pursue his missteps, they are called racists - or worse - desperate racists. And then they are told to read the glorious speech that would unite the galaxies if only the stars could understand english.

Or do you have Wi-Fi connection directly to Karl Rove and Hillary's brains?

19. I do, but the router is your
paranoia.

I'm sorry if I think for myself, it must be crushing for you to hear a voice other than "I agree with whatever it is you just said that was positive about Obama and demeaning towards Hillary", which is 99% of the posts on this board. (check the search engine). I'm also right about what I say, but that's just a talking point of mine that I use only while being honest.
