Here is the link if it works

I broached this topic a week ago and took the usual beating for thinking the absurd. Someone else thinks like me.

2. I prefer Obama /Gore
for a variety of reasons that I have posted in another thread.

However, if it would get HC out of this contest, I will agree.

3. might not even be constitutional
Can someone be a VP for more than 2 terms? Besides, I can't see Al accepting that job.

6. I remember back when Rudy was still in the race...
He was talking alot about how Cheney was one of the best vp's ever and there were articles that basically laid out the fact that there was no law or rule ruling out a vp for more than two terms

Those articles sent chills up my spine at the time to think that if Rudy somehow pulled out a win that we could have 4 more years of Darth Dick as vp again

I'll have to see if I can them again when I have time

7. i love the idea in theory...
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 10:29 AM by elana i am
because gore was my #1 pick even before dennis. in fact any other time with any other two candidates other than obama and clinton i would be gung-ho about the idea. but the implications of a white man swooping in and "stealing" the nomination from a black man or a woman is not something i even want to think about.

9. I'm African American and I believe that
Gore is dearly loved in our community.

Now that we understand the Clinton Team, he is even more of a hero for being able to be so gracious.

As much as I love Obama and want him to be President, I would think that it could be a healing process for the party.

Someone told me that Gore could not be VP for a third term. Does anyone have a for sure on that part.

Bottom line, my choice would be Obama/Gore

but if not,Gore/Obama.

What African Americans would hate would be Clinton/Obama.
We would be afraid for his safety with that ticket. He would need a food taster with him at all times.

8. There is no law that you cannot be VP in 2 diff administrations but Gore would never do it
At least I don't think he would-I think he is done with politics altogether and he has already been VP and already dealt with the fustrations of that job. Cheney had none as he simply wanted a seat near the helm of power but most VPs are not really fond of the job.
