The final word about Elton John Hosting a concert for Hillary Clinton. |
|
Elton John may and will donate his time to the concert without breaking any Federal election laws. It does not matter what Country this person is from.
I realize this Thread will sink like a rock because it does not agree with most of what some people here want to believe, but those are the facts.
Instead of speculating get off you asses and verify, and yes it will cost you a long distance phone call to call the Federal Elections commission for verification (thats what I did).
For those interested in the truth here is the phone number for the Federal Election Commission in Washington D.C. (202) 694-1000
P.S. Sorry to rain on anyones parade. NOT!

6. The legal statute in question does not apply in that case. |
|
Did you even read about this?
It's about foreign interference.

11. I don't know what the legal ins and outs are regarding Hillary/Elton John |
|
The secretary that you spoke with may be completely correct in telling you that no laws would be broken.
I was just saying that comparing the two cases doesn't make sense at all. Oprah is an American citizen.

14. there are similar laws on the books about donation caps for American citizens |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 11:06 AM by jsamuel
same thing essentially applies to Oprah after she donated 2300 to his primary campaign, any thing else she does would be considered illegal too. The only difference is the intent to use people's fear of foreigners to push the story.

|
What I'd like to know is why does the MSM make up shit as they go along about Hillary Clinton then I see posts that states Hillary makes up her own rules as she goes along with the Elton John Concert. Are people really that hateful in real life?

I am sorry to say the answer is yes. Just look at who Obama has used for fundraising, and people here don't have a problem with it (it's really disgusting). Thats all I need to know about Obama and his supporters.
