NOT! Wright will not be speaking in FL and TX as planned. He's not even going to pick up an award he was supposed to. Security reasons. Come on Barack, if he's so inspirational to you, why can't we hear him speak? http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/26/politics/main3970073.shtml

11. I don't believe for a minute he can't be protected. |
|
I'm not even sure anyone is threatening him. This is the way to keep him from speaking. Obama is written all over the decision.

14. Obama has nothing to do with it. Do you really blame Wright for wanting to avoid media events? |
|
Why would he want to subject himself to your judgement and scrutiny? We all know the out come. You will use ANYTHING he says as negative evidence against him and drag him through the mud all over again? Only an idiot would subject himself to that.
I also think that there is a fear for his safety after all this.
Leave the man alone. You've beat him up enough.

Please provide proof.
The pastors of both churches in question said that THEY stopped the event, with no input whatsoever from the Obama campaign.
Don't lie, yada.

19. You could always check out the church's website and review past sermons that he's given, you know, |
|
if you actually cared to learn about the man and his views. Funny, Pastor Wright stood by President Clinton when the Lewinsky scandal was breaking, but now that it's politically expedient, Senator Clinton throws Pastor Wright under the bus. Very sad. Did you hear the Clinton's pastor saying that he thought Pastor Wright was a good man and all this smearing was a terrible thing? Yup, saw that this morning on the news.

21. You're disgusting. The threats made to him here in Houston have been all over our news. |
|
And you choose to exploit that.
The man has been coming to Wheeler Baptist Church here in Houston for over 20 yrs as a guest speaker and had to cancel this time over security threats to him AND the church.
Congratulations on your contribution to the intimidation effort.
