Fuck the Media and Fuck the way elections are run here

The way elections are run here suck. They take far too long, cost far too much money that could be better spent elsewhere, and the fact that there is no fair, national standard way of voting (i.e on paper, no machines) makes this all a major clusterfuck.

The media play a major fucking role in deciding who wins the game. Those who don't believe this haven't lived outside this country. Go watch the CBC and BBC regularly and get back to me. The internet has helped to some extent but most people (especially the older folks) get their daily dose from TV. It's fucking mind-boggling watching how they feed the public SHIT by steering the ship this way and then that way. It really is something. There is no "News" anymore. It's fucking WWE politics(WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment for those who don't know that). The media get their talking points every morning from the campaigns and on the air they go. Why haven't we been discussing anything about the ISSUES? You know, those important fucking things. How's the economy doing? Gas Prices? Iraq war okay with you? Paying much for health insurance? Do you have any health insurance at all? Fuck, no I'd rather hear about a fucking preacher whose sermons offended some people. What the Fuck? It's all for entertainment, ratings, making the advertisers $$$. They want to see this race not only go on to the end, they want a bloodbath at the convention. Fuck, the thought of this makes the TV personalities giddy. By the way, have you seen how many of these so-called political experts are on TV now? Wow!

Just imagine 3 more months of this Primary. It's fucking depressing. I don't care if Hillary stays in or drops out but I don't want our Party to implode and it looks like that may be the case. The length of this campaign and what the media feeds the public could very well fuck us all over, no matter who we support. That's my rant for today.

Our party is really being hurt, otherwise Kennedy, Kerry, Dodd, Richardson, et al, wouldn't have mentioned those concerns and used the word "divisive" when giving their support to Obama.

And you're so right on about the WWE Politics and the media coverage. It's always the money. It's about what will bring in the viewers/ratings/advertising dollars. I'm with you and Obomacat with this all the way.
