Even up the SD's. Remove the thumb from the scale. |
|
No one wants to see SD's determine the nominee, although it's surely coming.
As a first step, let's at least put this race in it's proper perspective.
Clinton has 37 more pledged SD's(per MSNBC) than Obama. The virtual entirety of these SD's pledged early. I'm sure it was part of the "inevitable" strategy from the beginning. IIrc, Clinton had a 100 SD lead from the outset. It has dwindled to 37. That initial allocation of SD's has always skewed how this race has been perceived, making it artificially closer than it really was.
If 37 SD's pledge for Obama, the playing field will be even with regards to the elected pledged delegates. The SD's will be holding no sway, having split evenly. What could be fairer?
SD's...Take your fucking thumb off the scale!

How would you have felt if they did this in FLA in 2000?

has been ahead for a long time and Hillary hasn't even had a chance in over a month now.

6. In particular the SD advantage that she's always had in this race. |
|
She started a 100 paces in front of everyone.
Which makes it no wonder that she wants the SD's to overturn it for her at the end.
She wants her finish line to be 37 paces shorter, as well.

10. How about just playing by the rules that were laid out by the DNC before the primaries began |
|
which allows for the superdelegates to pledge independent of the popular vote. What could be more fair than that?

11. I can't flat out disagree with that. My point is a circumstantial one. |
|
Why don't the SD's just all vote before the first primary?
