REALITY: Hillary could lie on national TV and her core would still support her..... |

Face it, the gal has an amazingly loyal following.
It is sad, though.
On EDIT:
Oops..... unlike the Obama/Hate-America post by Greenwood, my scenario is not hypothetical!.

and in her book... and her supporters still defend her total dishonesty. A pity, really, that some Dems are so much alike the BushBots, blinded by their adoration for a cult-leader who can do no wrong. Is this how Hitler got elected?

22. Well, I'd much rather have the Dem who didn't lie so effortlessly, |
|
didn't vote for Bush's War, didn't vote to okay dropping cluster-bombs on children, doesn't associate themself with the likes of Mark Penn and Rupert Murdoch, doesn't asssign incompetents to key staff positions, and isn't willing to poison the well - sacrificing Party for personal ambition. In fact, it appears to me that there is a pretty big difference between the two Dems, and one is little , if any, different than bush... and doesn't deserve to be president - and I wonder if NY will even wish to keep her as Sen. Her true character (or lack thereof) has emerged as her hubris-based campaign has fizzled. We are now seeing the REAL Hillary, and it's not pretty. "Tonya Harding" just about sums it up, although that may be unfair to Tonya.

Me too. I wish there were paper ballots and elections were held on saturdays. I'm not going to get them anytime soon. And everyone might as well face the fact that in order to get elected as president, it is required that the candidate be a bit of a scumbag. I also wish that werent true.
I'm getting over the differences in hopes that they make changes in our country for the betterment of all.....

|
books, he lies about the bills he's passed and the work he's done in the senate, about how much he did as an organizer in Chicago. He lied just a couple of weeks ago about his knowledge of Wright's sermons. They are trying to find a paper trail in Chicago of his term there, he tells them where it is, but he can never produce it. They believe he has removed every bit of a paper trail. Why would he do this? What is he hiding?

I think the internet makes it a lot harder for liars to get away with it as once they did. The internet certainly pegged Bush's lies LONG BEFORE the rest of the country.

12 years ago the woman flew into Bosnia, into a war zone to personally deliver comfort and boost the morale of the men and women of the United States Military stationed there. The last First Lady to do anything like that was Pat Nixon who traveled with Dick to Viet Nam in 1969. If Senator Clinton had just gotten back yesterday and was yakking about snipers and shortened ceremonies, there might be cause for alarm but we're talking 12 years ago. It's a minor story at best, former First Lady embellishes war story.
"I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
And 12 years ago what actually happened was she flew into a war zone in a cargo jet, which may or may not have been alerted to the presence of hostile ground fire. She met with the people on the ground including the little girl. Was the ceremony rushed? That is not clear. She got into a helicopter twice more to visit other US Military troops stationed there. Did they have to run upon landing with one of those jumps? That is not clear. She hung out with Chelsea, Sheryl Crow, sinbad and a whole mess of happy boys and girls then climbed back on the cargo plane and flew out of there.
I'm sitting here trying to remember what I did 12 years ago, on any specific day 12 years ago and I'm drawing a blank. And I've embellished a few stories in my day. I would laugh my ass off if somebody came up with the videotape disproving my embellishments just like I did when I saw and heard about it happening to Hillary on St. Patricks Day. Anyone whose drawers are in a bunch over this has no sense of humor or not a very strong basis in reality.

|
as the candidate running for president who misremembered what Hillary misremembered. Would that change any of your post at all? Would you feel the same way?
I'm STILL a supporter of both Obama and Clinton, I'm just asking. Hell, I can barely remember things which happened to me 5 minutes ago sometimes. I think if she'd have had her 'whoopsie' moment shortly after first saying this, we wouldn't even be talking about it now.

And what's most important about this nonstory is that it is not important. Hillary Clinton has more war zone time than George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Clinton has claimed she landed under sniper fire ONCE, not two times, three times, ten times, ONCE. She did'nt claim this happened to her frequently in her travels. Now tell me, how many people on this fucking earth would NOT remember if they landed under sniper fire and had to run off a plane to get to safety. ZERO
I thought so.
It was a blatant lie.
Thanks!
And by the way, if you landed under sniper fire 12 years ago and ran from a plane to safety, I'b be willing to bet you'd remember every moment of it.

It's not important and anyone who thinks it is has an agenda. She climbed on plane with her Daughter and flew into a war zone to aid and comfort the troops there and build morale. That is pretty fucking impressive as I've never come close to doing anything of that magnitude. Have you? That is experience.
And I really don't care if she made a mistake in her recollection of an event 12 years earlier. She didn't say she saw sniper fire or a muzzle flash or heard rounds whistling by her ear. She says she " landed under sniper fire". What is the likelihood of sniper fire in a war zone, anyway?
Now maybe it's because I have an agenda that I look at it this way. Commonsense tells me that Yes, there is an increased likelihood of sniper fire in a war zone and Yes, then First Lady Hillary Clinton discussed sniper fire with the flight crew at some point before, during or after this mission. That was the biggest memory she had of the whole mission 12 years ago and it assumed a larger place in her memory of the event over the next 12 years.
This isn't like she said she cured cancer, or saved that little girls life on the tarmac. Call it a lie, call it an exaggeration, call it an embellishment. In any case it CANNOT be prosecuted in a court of law in the United States because IT IS NOTHING. Worst case scenario is that she lied to exaggerate the level of danger she faced when she visited war torn Bosnia with her Daughter and a USO type show. Not important.
