Letter writers to Pelosi have given Democrats nearly $24 million since 1999
The 20 Hillary Clinton supporters who sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter telling her to keep hands off the superdelegate fight warned ominously that they had been enthusiastic financial backers of the Democratic Party.

Now a campaign finance watchdog group has tallied up how enthusiastic: the letter-signers, along with their spouses, have contributed $23.6 million to Democrats since 1999, the Center for Responsive Politics said.

That largess includes $554,000 to Clinton's campaigns and political action committee -- 10 times what they gave to Barack Obama -- and nearly $3 million to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which helps Pelosi and other House members.

That committee played a key role in winning the majority in the House in 2006 that catapulted Pelosi into becoming the first House speaker.

The letter writers were angered by Pelosi's statements that the superdelegates, the elected officials and party leaders, should not overturn the will of the people -- as measured by the tally of pledged delegates. Obama leads Clinton in that count, but Clinton argues that superdelegates were created to exercise independent judgment of who would be the best nominee.

2. She represents the rich Dems
Obama, with his 20 million donors, represents the middle and lower classes. The average Obama donor gave $200. With Hillary, It's like ten times that much. The idea that Hillary somehow represents the blue-collar guy is BULL.

I suggest they crumple 'em up nice and tight, put em in a pipe and smoke em. If they imagine hard enough, they might even get high. They don't even have to inhale if they don't want to.

8. Wow, a whole $24 million over the last 9 years...
Obama has over 1 million individual donors.

Some portion of those donated over $50 M to his campaign in ONE MONTH!

I bet that each and every donor to the Obama campaign would donate $25 to the DNC/DCCC to make up for the next 9 years of donations by these assholes. All we ask is that Pelosi and and the Democratic leadership put an end to the primary race now and tell Hillary that it's over. It's going to be decided by the Super Delegates anyway, why wait for another 10 weeks of bullshit from the Clinton campaign, which is now only aimed at making Obama unelectable this fall. Lets have the Supers decide NOW. That's worth at least $25 from every Obama supporter to the DNC/DCCC that ever donated to the Senator.

11. Bullshit
That committee didn't do a damned thing. The voters decided the 2006 elections and those voters were empowered by Howard Dean's 50 state strategy.

The time of big money is over. It's a whole new world and this time, the little people are in charge.
