Where is the Outrage
Where is the Outrage?
by psychodrew, Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 08:38:25 PM EST

Florida and Michigan are not going to have re-votes. I have acknowledged the reality but I refuse to accept it as legitimate. Do you think that automatic delegates and party leaders such as Bill Richardson would be asking the party to unite behind Hillary Clinton if Barack Obama had been denied an opportunity to close the gap by seating delegations from Michigan and Florida or holding new elections?

If the situation were reversed, would people be acting any differently? Would Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich be writing editorials attacking Hillary Clinton for dragging her feet? Would Jesse Jackson, Jr. be on television accusing the Clintons of discriminating against black voters in Michigan? Would Keith Olbermann be giving

10. Then direct your ire where it belongs
To the Michigan Democratic legislators. They broke the rules. They are the ones that wanted to get in on the primary game early. They are the ones who shut out third party candidates - the reason why the primary was ruled unconstitutional.

11. My ire is soundly placed...
semantics are just that.

Their votes should be counted. I'd say it f this were him on the ticket, and not her, btw.

Votes should be counted, and a dem in michigan should have more say than a repig in wisconsin.

6. Sorry I live in Michigan and have no problem with the fact Michigan decided to write
a rule to over ride the party's rules and got slapped down. Now if the state would have followed the rules set by the Democratic committee we wouldn't be in this mess. Some state dems decided that it wasn't fair that the democratic primary was after the repukes and thought to over ride the rules. Isn't that the main problem we have with pukes? Rules don't apply to them.

what exactly? Uncomprehending of how the individual states party leaders lusted for power and screwed their electorate?

13. Here is my thought
They all agreed to the plan of "not" counting the delegates from those two states. Hillary is on record saying she know the votes would not count. Now if Obama was the one who left his name on he ballot in Michigan, and said he knew they would no count, then when he needed the delegates, started doing everything to get them counted, even though Hillary had pulled her name off the ballot, I would be pissed at him right now instead of Hillary, and that's a fact!

The whole idea of trying to change the rules in the middle of the game is sickening in my book, and I don' care who is doing it, it's wrong. Everybody knew the votes in Michigan and Florida would not count, so to bitch and moan about it now is just being childish.

16. And by using it as a political tool to try and make Obama look...
bad is just ridiculous, if Clinton cared she would have raised the fuss before the problem took place instead of accepting it until she got her ass handed to her by the unknown underdog. I think this was all calculated by a certain few to divide the democrats and its working perfectly. This should have been an issue before it all took place and fixed then, now its just political games by some for an advantage and has nothing to do with the voters.

Its like saying that we are in Iraq to promote freedom when those innocent people over there, mean nothing to those that voted to kill them, its all political bullshit!

15. Unfair Elections - not on Ballot or No campaigning - They REFUSED TO REVOTE
Because Clinton supporters in those state legislatures WANTED an unfair advantage and to seat the skewed delegate apportionment... for Clinton.

Your "logic" is pure disinformation and Orwellian tripe.
