People in general have a well known bias in favor of the more popular person |
|
;-)
I've noted for some time and with much amusement that on virtually every Democratic leaning site that I go, Hillary supporters are complaining about bias in favor of Obama. Clinton supporters say CNN, MSNBC, DU, KOs, etc., etc., etc. are biased in favor of Obama.
Perhaps it is time to recognize that this is true. The question then becomes why and what does it mean. I think it is true. I think that in general, Obama is a popular person pretty much everywhere he goes. On the other side, Hillary consistently has nationwide negative/unfavorable ratings in the 45-54% range.
I have to ask Clinton supporters, is it somehow our fault or our problem or Barack's fault or problem that people like Obama more than Clinton and that this translates into what you perceive as bias? It seems to me that it might not be the best strategy for Clinton supporters to keep bringing this up.

... we cant help it. Our guy is just more popular. How much more are Hillary folk going to whine about this?
The joke is that they are trying to "punish" DU and Obama supporters by taking a one week 'vacation'. As far as I am concerned, they can vacation until July.

Back when I still admired HRC, I couldn't understand why so many people seemed to hate her at first sight. Now that I have good reasons to dislike her, I see it: the stridency, the jabbing finger, the voice like a power drill, the phoniness that oozes from her. It makes me realize how much our ideals can alter our perceptions.

4. I think what we both are getting at when we describe her is... |

Machiavellian. Win at any cost, lie, slur, etc. Which is considerably less objectionable if that is the person/cause you want to win. If you are on the other side...
