So....what does everyone think about the Obama/Bloomberg |
|
talk. Would you still vote for Obama if Bloomberg were VP?

1. I think that's a pretty strong ticket. |
|
It's been rumored for quite a while now.

8. I agree - that ticket would do so much to "unite". Bloomberg appeals |
|
to many independents and it's not like he never was a democrat. That ticket would be unstoppable.

12. No...there is a reason you don't like Bloomberg and it must be a |
|
pretty good reason for you to take such a strong stand. I admit, I don't know that much about him other than his financial expertise - which is very attractive right now to me - we need someone with financial "smarts". I didn't mean to sound like I was challenging you.

I want a real Democrat, one that would continue to a "T" Obama's policies should something terrible befall him.

What states and what voters would Bloomberg deliver that Obama wouldn't get otherwise? How does he make the ticket stronger against McCain?

wanted him to run as a republican. Many people admire his financial expertise.

19. Bloomberg is pro-war, anti-union and anti-constitution. |
|
He just gave the NYS GOP 500,000 $ to keep control of the NYS Senate.
Obama won't pick him for those reasons... though Bloomberg Inc. may try to buy some influence.

21. I'd like to see him as Sec. of Treasury.. |
|
or something along the fiscal lines where he can make an impact on getting us out of this enormous debt that Georgie has dug us into. He seems to be good at fiscal matters, so that would make the most sense IMO.
He doesn't really bring to the table what Obama needs in terms of other experiences. I still like an Obama/Edwards or Obama/Richardson ticket much much better.

24. Bloomberg could be Sec Treas or Ch Fed Reserve but not veep |
|
Aside from partisan considerations he has no foreign policy experience.
The veep will have to go to someone with strong foreign policy credentials like Richardson (my choice), Webb, etc.

Obama's first term
Bloomberg's largest asset is his financial assets. Obama does not really need to sell the VP spot to finance his bid.
