Obama is NOT responsible for every single thing released by someone from Wright's church!
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 09:12 PM by jenmito
This is getting RIDICULOUS! Obama's camp rightfully commented on these latest comments by saying he has addressed the situation, he disagrees with ALL his controversial comments, and it's being fueled by the media.

So the media keeps playing every little thing that someone from Wright's church prints, and NOW they're saying things like, "Well, so far he seems to have survived the storm. As a matter of fact, his poll numbers have risen slightly, but let's see if these NEW comments affect him." :eyes: On CNN they just ADMITTED that these quotes are being circulated on RW blogs!

5. It may not stop in the media, but it won't lower his poll numbers. It's old news already.
The shock value is over and he addressed it head on.

15. Don't worry-I already did-this morning. I also called MSNBC (they were playing this all day
since early on) and told them to "LEAVE BARACK ALONE!" Then I left a serious message, too.

2. Totally silly
Why would CNN keep re-running this thing--wouldn't the audience be getting bored for the next Scandalle du Jour by now? Obama camp is smart to try to tamp this thing down now. All that needs to be said has been said. Sheesh.

CNN pundits are acting like mad scientists doing experiments on lab mice.

9. It was labeled "breaking news" that he responded to Wright's FIRST comments on The View...
then they went on to say, "But while he was explaining THOSE remarks, NEW revelations have come to light..." But it's nothing-no video to show over and over, old news, etc. THEN they had the nerve to say after that there were OTHER things happening today-like his speech on the economy...

The righties are predictable, tired, old, chlidish, debunkable, and most importantly wrong.

7. Anderson Cooper tonight played more Wright than Hannity
What has this thing come to. I did my own little informal study tonight. Hannity had on some Pastor who called Obama "trash" in a recent sermon, self-servedly Hannity "defended" Obama. It was cute. Then, next show up was Cooper, first 15 minutes of Wright, with Yellen agreeing that it was sourced by Newsday and they really hadn't confirmed anything. They then found time to analyze it for another 10 minutes.

This is going to be a long battle. Lots of letters, lots of Op-Eds, just continuing to let these guys know that this type of cable "news" is garbage, unworthy of American and Americans.

18. And MSNBC covered it more than anyone!
But I think it's a waste of time. Obama squashed this and the media over-played it all already.

8. At some point, it will become evident to even the dumbest among us....
in the meantime, turn the channel. That's what I'm doing. Whatever program wants to continue to beat this dead horse will be doing it by themselves.

Cable measures ratings based on who watches (cable signals tell them), so don't watch.

24. Yes, you are wrong. Cable vewing is not the same as network viewing.
Cable wires allows those measuring to know exactly who was watching what.

And I've said so.

Hillary, however, is responsible for every remark made at anytime by anyone wearing a Hillary '08 button.

22. msm should prove these are Obamas views or
they should shut the hell up. They don't question McCain's word, but they won't take Obama's word. All they have are their opinions, but no proof. Does anybody believe McCain didn't have an affair with the lobbyist. McCain talks once, says he won't talk of it again and boom that's the end of it. F'en hypocrites

responsible for what Wright said, whether or not he has to give another speech, blah blah blah.

29. 20 years of hearing
Is what concerns most Americans, if he would have spoken those words, he would be long gone now. How much influence someone has on your life after 20 years, is the question.

30. the proof is in the pudding
has Obama led anyone to believe those are his views? I agree with what your saying, only time will tell. I think those who were on the fence will give him the benefit of doubt, while those who were looking for a reason not to vote him beforehand won't.

combing through years of his sermons to try to prove Obama was in church during any of those very controversial sermons. He obviously did NOT sit through 20 years of sermons characterized by those 30 sec. video clips. Get real.
