I am done..
I am done fighting over the Democratic Nominee. I used to be really upset with the Obama people on here because they would say horrible things about my candidate Hillary Clinton. Sometimes I was so mad I would vow that I would never vote for Obama and I would vote for McCain instead or not vote at all. After hearing Hillary Speak today in North Carolina she told us that whatever happens do not vote for McCain... It was really stupid idea for me to support a Republican instead of a Democrat just because of my pride. I vow today that I will support, respect, and vote for Barack Obama if he wins the nomination. I won't let the republicans divide our party. We have to win!

3. Don't let Obama divide us either.
And don't let the Clinton haters here do it.

It is great to hear her speak. The people who say she is shrill are full of it. She speaks in calm, measured tones and is very logical.

Of course we will all vote for the nominee. McCain would be the last straw for this country. We are already close to collapse, as an economy and as a democracy.

30. Obama only talks about Hillary...
...he pretends to be above it all but he is fueling the slimefest and his campaign has been very negative and not at all based on the issues.

When does the unity start, Obama?

I've only been back in the last few days. Good post. I was an Edwards backer. Before that Gore. Yes I too will vote Democratic this fall no matter what.

5. I'm starting to think that it doesn't make
any difference. The Prez will do what she/he is told to do. TPTB are that strong. Sometimes I think TPTB have their eyes on Africa....the last continent to rape. They still have tons of minerals (one that is essential to make cell phones) and quite a bit of oil.

Maybe that's why they want Obama...he make it easier to steal from them. I've seen evil and I know what they are capable of. Don't call me a cynic....I'm a realist.

29. Agree with you. After TPTB picked off the better candidates and left us with
two sides of the same coin, I believe it doesn't make any difference either.

34. Maybe someday We, The People will awake
and realize that they have nothing to lose but their fears.

In the meantime, I need to make some plans for surviving the end of this empire. Geez...where to start?

But...I will vote for the Dem candidate...either is better than McCain. I just hope we have an election! I still fear that W and the neocons will come up with something so they can institute martial law. That reminds me: must get passport! lol.

The next president will appoint at least two, maybe even three, SC justices. Wouldn't you love to see Hillary on the Supreme Court--a lifetime appointment? The RW would just pee their pants!

27. The SC may be more suited to her talents.
Or, at least to what I think her talents might be, i.e. things that function best in environments a little less affected by opinions about her.

12. Glad to have you back.
Kucinich was my original favorite and as you know, life was rough around here. Only a select few have had their first pick all the way through and I doubt those people are the rude ones at DU. Don't know for sure just a gut feeling. I saw Obama in Columbus, Ohio and it was amazing to see so many people, all kinds and shapes, so excited to hear his message. It was very inspiring. I hope if it comes down to Obama that you will have a chance to hear him. Peace, kim

16. What's really sad is that you couldn't figure that out without her telling you to.
Even though I have said numerous times I won't vote for Hillary even in a VP position, I've never said I'd vote for McCain and I never would, even if Obama or Edwards or Kucinich (3 that I've been inclined to support) told me to.

18. Let me explain..
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 09:57 PM by JKaiser
Hearing Hillary say "don't vote for McCain" just made me feel Obama and Hillary were on the same team, because they are, they are both dems. When she said that it made me feel better with supporting and liking Obama. Some Obama fans on here made hate the idea of voting for him. Now I don't feel that way.. I feel excited for the democratic party! GO DEMS

22. Yes--it is just ego, puffed up pride, that makes *anyone* say he/she won't
vote for the Dem nominee--or will vote for McCain. The freaking future of our country is at stake here, and we can't let wounded pride lure us into voting (or not voting) in a way that will allow the depredations of the last 7 1/2 years to continue. I don't care whom any of you support--when November comes around, we have to band together and defeat the disaster that is Republican rule.

24. it's possible to post here and not bash the other candidate.
I wish people would try it and see how easy it is. You just never mention the candidate you are not supporting. Never name them. Just talk about your candidate. And don't attack the supporters of the other candidate either.

It can be fun to see how to creatively you can word your posts so that the other candidate becomes invisible. ;)
