9. Poor Obama, he fought the good fight, but could not prevail without experience
Better luck next time Barack.

If Obama is a good VP, he will have an excellent shot at the White House in 2016.

6. I honestly think Hillary thinks she would be the best President.
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 01:41 AM by Skarbrowe
There is no way that I believe she's blowing a big raspberry at the Democratic party. She is in a fight for a nomination that isn't going well for her, but she's got 3 more states to go before it really sinks in. By that, if she wins PA but loses NC and IN then I think she'll know what to do. I sincerely don't think she is staying in the race for her personal ambitions. More like this driven need to do something for this country and she is going to go down fighting - not just bowing out to someone she horribly underestimated. And that's all her and her campaign's fault. Obama has magic and he is bringin' 'em in!! She didn't see that threat all of 2007 and I think she just started catching on right after the first of the year. Lousy campaign people. Too late, Hillary. Not much she could have done anyway. Obama is a force. It might have helped Hillary to not dislike and be disliked by the press so much, but that still would not have stopped Obamamania.

Face it, she does have the right and without tearing the party apart to stay in until at least mid May. If she loses NC and IN and still stays in, I will start wondering the same thing. Maybe the super delegates will all jump to Obama by then and it will be over.

edited for errors..have to stop posting while nodding off

7. I wish you were right.
But this thing will not end until she wises up and bows out. I'm not holding my breath for that either.

8. Hillary needs to stay in
if only to make it undeniably clear that we don't all love and adore him for his charisma or his stand on the issues.

I want to send a message as loudly and clearly as possible that, as a liberal, he's not my choice. I want to make that very clear and have my vote count for my conscience.

And since he's got it so sewn up, I'll vote for a true progressive in the GE instead of one of the two moderates. It will be the only way to get out of this miserable two party system.

11. Polls show that an equal number of Democrats want Obama to drop out.
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 05:56 AM by Perry Logan
I heard this on Dan Abarham's show last night. Equal percentages of Democrats want both candidate to drop out. So people are not turning away from Hillary, as they would if she were such a villain.

19. He's neither the mathematical winner- nor is he completely honest
and I sure hope that he isn't averse to doing what it takes to win.

This election is too important to simply make a statement and be another historical footnote.

16. No doubt.
I mean he's only ahead in states 30 - 14.

He's only ahead in pledged delegates and overall delegates.

He's only ahead in the popular vote.

What the fuck is he thinking.

Maybe he's just praying she'll be humble enough to offer him the VP spot after all.

20. I am a Democrat first
and a Hillary supporter second. I will gladly vote for Barack if he is the nominee. However, why should she drop out now? Let this process go to its conclusion. I don't feel taking this to the convention is a good idea, but at least until Puerto Rico votes in June. As a Democrat I have no problem letting 2 great candidates work this out.
