1. Bill spent his high profile 3 week book tour DEFENDING Bush in 2004 from the 'left'

to undermine John Kerry, so I doubt he would be shy about openly praising McCain to undermine Obama.

The Clinton campaign is finished. The only questions remaining are when will they make it official and how much damage do they intend to do on the way out. Clearly they are now thinking 2012, and will campaign as enthusiastically for Obama as they did for Kerry in 2004.
