Talk Radio And Obama
Hey, Obama fans, guess who right-wing talk radio is still targeting; Obama, of course. And, we all know that they are ruthless. Check out this article I copied about these conservative zealots.

Right-Wing Thursday
Thursday, March 6th, 2008
It’s “Right-Wing Thursday” and it seems appropriate for me to focus on some of our favorite talk radio hosts this week. This was primary week and Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham decided to switch party affiliations for a day and encouraged their vast listening audiences to vote in the Democratic primary instead of the Republican. Obviously Limbaugh and Ingraham don’t have much confidence in their own party’s candidate, so they felt the need to try to sabotage their Democratic opponents. I don’t think that this would have been what our founding fathers, whom both Limbaugh and Ingraham like to refer to regarding many issues, would have endorsed. I don’t think they would have supported trying to cheat the political process. I guess right-wing talk show hosts only like to ponder what our founding fathers would do when it serves their political agenda.

It is apparent that right-wing pundits fear an election against Obama. Limbaugh stated that he was hoping to “bloody him up a bit”. That’s certainly a nice Christian attitude that I can assure you Jesus would not endorse. For that matter, the screaming, angry, name-calling demeanor of conservative talkers such as Laura Ingraham, Michael Medved, Mark Levin and Michael Savage would also flunk the WWJD test. It’s rather ironic that many of these hosts consider themselves to be Christian/religious.

Michael Medved, the guy who says that 80% of Americans are doing better than ever financially, also dedicated time this week to complain about the waste of six billion dollars in federal funds being spent on school lunch programs. However, it doesn’t seem to bother Medved that we are spending that much every three weeks in Iraq. Evidently Medved believes that spending money for war is more important than spending money to feed America’s hungry children. At least Michael has his priorities straight.

Medved also spent time questioning Obama’s Muslim connections. The fact that Obama has stated that he is a Christian and that he is a member of a Christian church is not enough for Medved. Perhaps Michael can get some “religious police” to check into Obama’s true religion. Maybe he can divert some of that money we waste on feeding our children and hire Kenneth Starr to do one of his in-depth investigations into Obama’s true religion. Oh well, it’s always good entertainment tuning in to Medved and his cohorts for another dose of right-wing misinformation.

The website I got this from is: http://www.rightwingexposed.com
They have a good one about the "Obama witch-hunt" too.

5. Am I a troll?
What does that mean? Are you only allowed to share articles that were just written? If that's the rule on the DU, I'm happy to adhere to it. But, again, why are you calling me a troll? I imagine it isn't a nice or friendly charge. I've always been civil with all of my comments on the DU. I've read many entries from others that are downright mean, whereas I've always tried to be decent and courteous, so why are you calling me names?

3. These guys only have a voice because of ClearChannel
ClearChannel only exists because of media consolidation. One of the first acts I hope a new Dem pres does is to appoint Michael Copps head of the FCC. And I believe Copps will begin the dismantling of corporate media conglomerates.
I know our local CC radio station has gone from a 20+ share before CC to a 6 share and continues to drop each book. The numbers these guys put up for listeners is only due to the fact that they are on 600+ stations.
