The Clintons MUST be stopped. They have crossed the line.

OH NO, MR. BILL......!

From ABC News:

Clinton Praises "Moderate" McCain

President Bill Clinton had high praise for the man who has clinched the nomination for the other party.

..snip...

McCain, who Mr. Clinton said is a "moderate", "has given about all you can give for this country without dyin' for it."

He said McCain was on the right side of issues like being against torture of enemy combatants and global warming, which "just about crosses the bridge for them (Republicans)."

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/03/clinton-praises.html

Dear Bill Clinton, you're supposed to talk out of your mouth, not your ASS.

You know as well as we do, that McCain talked about stopping torture but eventually caved in, in one of the most hypocritical moves in the history of politics.

What "bridge" are you talking about Mr. Bill? McCain crosses no bridge except the one from reality into a fantasy world where everything is just fine in our country, Iraq is just fine, our health care system is just fine.

Well I'll tell you something Mr. Bill. Everything is not fine. And it's not fine that you are giving ammunition to McCain that will help him significantly in the general election, regardless of who the Democratic nominee is, even if it is your wife.

So shut your freaking pie hole before you completely destroy any chances of that remain of taking this absolute power away from the greedy corrupt murdering assholes who are running this country.

Maybe it was YOU who crossed the bridge, but in the other direction?

It's all too obvious now, the Clintons don't have the delegates they need so they are resorting to the only thing they have left - create chaos in the party, make people afraid to vote for Obama, and just "roll the dice" and hope they come out on top somehow.

These recent quotes from "Mr. Bill" Clinton and recently his wife, praising Mr McCain for a variety of things and and in some cases even implying that he's a better choice than Obama make it clear. They must be stopped before they screw up not only this election, but also the party and direction of the country.

1. You almost get the feeling that, if this were fantasyland and the GOP offered their nomination to
Hillary, she'd take it.

I mean, WHY are the Clintons DOING this?????

2. I think you're right. She's so desperate to get to that White House
it has blinded her to all reason, all common sense, all decency. She's a disgrace at this point.

As to why they are doing this, is she plans on another run in 2012, and we all know that can't happen if Obama is in office!

22. succession
The Kennedy's kept Sargent Shriver (a Kennedy by marriage, and author of Great Society/War on Poverty legislation) because he was not the next Kennedy in line. Succession and control of it is very important to the Kennedy family.

23. I have no idea what you're talking about
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 03:11 PM by leftynyc
what does that have to do with what I said. The poster before me said that Clinton couldn't run in 2012 if Sen Obama won and I pointed out that Ted Kennedy did just that when Carter was president.

Edited to add: And, I might point out that Sen Kennedy was behind by 800-1000 delegates and STILL did not drop out of the race. People here have short memories.

4. They won't be stopped until late summer. She's taking this all the way.
At the end of August, she bows out after losing the floor vote at the convention. She then grasps hands with Obama at the end and vows to work for him the remaining two months.

7. I think he is praising himself for his political genius.
By praising the Republican opponent, it makes it look like she's already the presumptive nominee by excluding Obama from the picture. Of course, this would only be effective strategy if she were winning.

11. Consider this:
"Moderate" is just as a dirty word to Conservatives as it is to Liberals.

So placing McCain further to the left alienates the Republican base. It also creates a loose association between McCain and Clinton - sure to scrunch the panties of all the wingnuts who hate all things Clinton.

I still don't agree with the strategy - because of its timing and the downside to it. But I'm hoping this is the intention, here.

24. Yes, and when Bill mentioned that McCain is correct on torture,
he was either saying that he agrees torture should be legal, or

he was insulting our intelligence, or

he is so stupid he doesn't know McCain caved in on the issue.

Which one do you think it is?
