Poll question: Poll question: How much respect do you have for Barack Obama? |
|
I am not asking whether you are voting for him or not; that is irrelevant. On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you respect him as a leader of our party?

Is 10 the highest amount of respect and 1 the lowest? The order in the poll makes it confusing.

6. I don't think ANYONE - short of Roosevelt can be a 10 - or a 1 either. |
|
People here are waaay too worshipful or waaay too hateful to give either of those scores.

15. That depends on who I am kissing. |
|
Do I have to kiss one of them? I would never kiss a politician. Yuck. Not even one of ours. Oh....and I will never give up my cell phone!!

17. in what scenario is he the leader of the party? |
|
I don't think even a POTUS is necessarily the leader of the party.
Would you say that Bush is the leader of the Republican Party? No.
So your basic construct is wrong. No man who has people pushing him forward is the LEADER.
The Democratic Party has three current leaders. Gore, Carter and Dean.

19. I didn't say THE leader; I said A leader |
|
I think when you are when of two presidential nominees left in your party's race then its easy to make a case that you are a leader of that political party.

Higher than I would have before his economic speech.
The reason? He lost a LOT of respect when, rather than showing leadership and rallying the troops- he criticized the filibuster of Alito- an unethical man proven to have lied under oath during his previous confirmation as a federal judge- and one of the most extreme jurists to be considered for the Court in its history.
He also supported limiting Americans rights to hold corporations accountable in class action lawsuits.
These two acts coming from someone who's taught constitutional law aren't worthy of much respect- and I think any honest and objective person would agree with that.
