Obama's speech - the one he's giving on CNN now:
He's taking questions - that's so nice to see. Neither he nor Hillary have had much opportunity to do that lately.

2. He's addressing
(in response to some questions) issues I've never heard him speak to before. And I'm REALLY liking what I'm hearing!

4. Probably things he's covered before,
but not being a STAUNCH Obama supporter (although I'm getting there), I haven't listened to a lot of his speeches.

He's answered questions regarding:

Iraq

The shrinking dollar.

Getting rid of the penny.

Addressing the problem of our largest prison population being non-violent drug offenders.

Breaking down his health plan.

Income tax.

Social Security.

Nothing he hasn't addressed before, no doubt repeatedly, but just things I hadn't heard from him. And, I think I like the format -- the Q&A. He's taking his time answering which is enabling him to offer broader explanations, etc.

10. Someone mentioned it costs more to mint
a penny than what it's worth.

14. I know that, but it doesn't matter to me.
I like the penny for sentimental reasons. Plus eliminating the penny will cause a spike in prices. And the us mint saves money on all other coins i.e., a quarter doesn't cost .25 cents to mint.

9. He's been scheduling smaller groups
So he can have more back and forth with the audience; 2,000 instead of 15,000, like that.
