Odd Coincidence - Bill's Statement & Now RoboCalls
Innocent until proven guilty.

Just pointing out that it is' mighty odd that earlier today:

"Right now, among all the primary states, believe it or not, Hillary's only 16 votes behind in pledged delegates," said Bill Clinton, "and she's gonna wind up with the lead in the popular vote in the primary states. She's gonna wind up with the lead in the delegates ."

"It's the caucuses that have been killing us," he added

And this afternoon:

Reports of phony phone calls to Democratic delegates
March 28, 2008 - 3:28PM
James Osborne
McALLEN - The Texas Democratic Party has received reports of unknown persons calling and e-mailing delegates to incorrectly inform them their county and senate district conventions have been cancelled, said party spokesman Hector Nieto.
Nieto said several delegates had reported incidents to party officials, but he did not know where in Texas they hailed from. He said party officials were investigating who's behind the misinformation campaign.

Must be a phone next to that kitchen sink!

Why does Bill want to disenfranchise the caucus states if his wife is running around the country saying dont disenfranchise Michigan and Florida?

he's saying the caucuses are killing him/her.

And someone is calling delegates in Texas and telling them the caucus has been cancelled.

I smell a rat.

Logic doesn't seem to be in strong supply at the Clinton HQ. They're running on fear.

it's beyond the pale.

But it should be able to be determined where these are originating from, shouldn't it? HRC may be totally innocent, regardless of how we've come to view her.

Is Obama's camp pursuing this?

EDIT -- is this illegal?

10. Supposedly only the 2 campaigns have the lists
- so unless a rabid supporter had access to the list - making said supporter on the campaign, but doing something unauthorized. Not the same as an independent person - but also not a campaign action.

The best thing would be for BOTH CAMPAIGNS to go to TV and radio in Texas to get the word out that the email is false, there are caucuses everywhere. The fact is that the calls can likely be traced - and that could be done after the fact. (Just like the phone jamming in NH in 2002) It shouldn't be hard to find the phone number that called that list of calls.

13. lame attempt, dear, to deflect.
There are only a limited number of suspects here, and though Clinton Camp may not be the guilty party, why should the "kitchen sink" campaign be ruled out?

17. (aside) The biggest recent phone call scam was Republican jamming in NH.
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 06:45 PM by pinto
It's their forte, lest we forget. I'd look to the Republican party first, not a Dem, if there are tracks to this story.

18. hard to explain how the GOP got the list - of an internal
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 06:50 PM by TomBall Democrat
party document, isn't it.

I hope it's not her.

but if not her, then someone inside the Texas Democratic Party leaked the list to the GOP.

Either way, it's not good. Best of all outcomes is that someone overzealous misbehaved.

It's not in Obama's interest to squash the caucus.

It benefits the GOP or Hillary. It's one of the two involved she had access - they didn't.
