Ruh-roh..some TX precincts MAY get to "re-caucus" tomorrow

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/03/get-ready-for-mayhem.html

Numerous precincts did not submit adequate delegate lists, minutes or other information that could be used to determine delegates and alternates. That means delegates from those precincts will have to make their case to the credentials committee before being seated.

In some instances, committee members, following the advice from state party officials, will allow the precincts to hold another caucus Saturday and then provide the results to the credentials committee.

Hillary Clinton supporters don't seem to like this idea, especially since many of the troubled precincts are in District 23, a Barack Obama stronghold.
In theory, it was up to the precinct chairs and other leadership to provide the correct information about their caucus.

<snip>

But mayhem, at least in some areas, was the order of the day. Lists disappeared, packets were lifted and mobs, hyped up by both campaigns, intimidated precinct officials.

1. I must be missing something. Why would Hillary be worried?
If the problem is in precincts that will go to Obama in the first place, what could she lose by having a recacus?

3. I think the OP meant that she'd prefer a NO caucus
If they are dis-enfranchised.

4. Not sure I get it either, but one thing I assume
is that the Clintons are 'way ahead of me in calculating their own self-interest.

8. As Matt Taibbi says in Rolling Stone mag..
"Nobody in American history has ever been better than the Clintons at calculating the electoral math of resentment, paranoia, media aggression and just flat-out, back-alley nastiness."

Did the clintons with mark penn get hoisted on their own big fat petard?

2. And Blimpbaugh goons were out in force, doing their thing.
Why can't they just stay home & do their "things?" We could all kick in to a fund for lubricants & sex toys.
