The Media: BO Campaign Surrogate?
The Media: BO Campaign Surrogate?
by canadian gal, Fri Mar 28, 2008 at 08:49:34 PM EST

I keep going on and on about the media and its treatment of the Democratic primary but I cannot believe what I see daily - it is so SHOCKING. Everywhere I look the majority of media coverage parrots BO talking points and spin acting as though they are a surrogate to his campaign.

This week there is the treatment of the HRC comment that if her pastor had made the anti-American comments uttered by the Rev. Wright, she would have left the church. The media/BO camp reaction was that HRC had raised the issue as part of a campaign to "destroy" BO. Only later was it acknowledged that she hadn't "raised" it at all. Her comment came in response to a question from editors of a newspaper in PA, where she was campaigning.

Even in the media/BO camps' treatment of normal campaign rhetoric, she suffers from a double standard. Every HRC criticism

8. One story
Wow one story,

Keith Olbermann acted like he was going to take a giant shit on himself when he heard Ferro comments about Obama what made Keith faux outrage more the laughable was he used up one of his special comments to condemn Ferro comments and Hillary not dropping her fast enough then two days later when the Wright outburst happen Olbermann was like oh yes Mr.Obama explain your side. Randi Rhodes and Brent Budowsky claimed Hillary didn't have the decency to say no when someone asked her does she believe Senator Obama was a Muslim and in reality she said "of course not" Randi is a whore for Obama so that didn't shock me but Brent who makes a living being a political analyst should know better.

6. If anything, the media continues to dredge up irrelevant right wing controversy
It is shown by polling that no one really cares about what crazy preachers say, though they do care much more wha tthe candidates themselves say.

Yet they cpontinue to dredge up more and more pastor crap and gloss over contoinued lies by Clinton.

Not just Bosnia, but Ireland, NAFTA, etc.

And just where are her tax returns again?

Media on Obama's side?

Hardly.

He's fighting a three pronged war versus Clinton, MCain and the media.

10. Don't think so...
HC got what amounts to three days of the Tusla "Lie" and we've been on the Wright controversy for two weeks. What planet are you living on?

While she was being dragged around by her lie she decided to deflect attention by pointing us right back at the Wright sound bites.

11. the reason is
The Wright thing is a complicated thing. Reasonable people have different thoughts.

Every already knows how big a liar Hillary was about Tusla, you don't really need to keep reporting it, everybody understands how badly she lied.
