Pennsylvania Allegheny Democratic chairman endorses Clinton |
|
Friday, March 28, 2008
Allegheny County Democratic Committee Chairman Jim Burn endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton for president Thursday night at her Downtown headquarters.
Two weeks ago, the region's top elected Democratic leaders, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato, backed Clinton at a rally hosted by Gov. Ed Rendell at Soldiers & Sailors Military Museum and Memorial in Oakland, where Sen. Barack Obama will appear today for a rally.
"One of the main reasons I am supporting Senator Clinton is based on the results in the primaries so far," Burn said. "She has won the states we need to win in a general election in the fall."

17. Local endorsements can be important |
|
Especially in a state like PA with a large machine presence. They said one of the reasons Clinton won Massachusetts so handily despite Obama's high profile endorsements was because she had the mayor of Boston, who helped to drive turnout for her among working class Catholics.

Translation:
"I really don't understand how elections work."

Govenor Fast Eddie promised me something and or threatened me to endorse. Fast Eddie thinks he runs this state like a Soviet Commissar and he acts like one when he wants something.
Fast Eddie is in for a rude awakening.

If not than you don't know what Fast Eddie has been up to here with the endorsements of public officials and the pressures he's put on local officials.
Granted the soviet thing might have been far but he's strong armed alot of people for her.
He was a much better Mayor than he was a Govenor and I'll stand by that.
