Latest e-mails circulating thru eastern NC.....
First...I am a Democrat..party officer in fact...and will vote for whoever is under the big D in November...I do however currently support Hillary..because her Health Care plan is most similar to Edwards who was my first choice before he suspended his campaign...and I just don't think Obama can really win the 'general election'...you know when all the racist Repugs come out to vote....

Anyway, this is it folks..if you think you have seen some bad shit so far...just wait til the GOP really kicks in their attacks....sorry, I don't know how to post the pics they included..but needless to say they were not the most flattering pics I have seem of Mrs. Obama...

Have at it...but this is reality in NC..not the hyped up news or blogger bullshit...but reality on the ground...the reality of what everyday people read...most don't blog...they watch tv and if they even have a cpu...this is the sort of thing they receive from their 'church friends email list' on a daily basis...

"Thesis - Michele Obama aka Michelle LaVaughn Robinson

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama stated that America was a nation founded on "crime and h atred". Moreover, she stated that whites in America were "ineradicably racist". The 1985 thesis, titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" was written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.

Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to "Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first." However, it was reported by a fellow black classmate, "If those "Whites at Princeton" really saw Michelle as one who always would "be Black first," it seems that she gave them that impression."

Most alarming is Michele Obama's use of the terms "separationist" and "integrationist" when describing the views of black people.

Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a "separationist" view of race.

"By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."

Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."

Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.

Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but she elevates black over white in her world.

Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:

"There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost."

What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if she's first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?

The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.

"Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments."

The conclusion of her thesis is alarming.

Michelle Obama's poll of black alumni concludes that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin. "I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility."

Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.

Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.

The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama's thoughts and world view seen through a race-based prism.

This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration."

5. they are moderate dems and repukes...
and there are lot of bigots...i am been saying this for months but no one will listen..and in November they will come out of their caves in droves all across this country...sorry, but that is reality...this country is full of bigotry..whether against blacks, women, hispanics, jews, muslims, mormans or jehovahs witnesses...

Obama will not win the GE...they won't allow it..and that scares me more than anything.

I have to go to bed now..this email and the blogs have depressed me..I need to sleep it off..

Maybe I can dream of what could have been..John Edwards on top...with either Obama or Hillary as Veep...it sure as hell would have been easier, don't ya think?

To hell with it..I am going to bed.

13. That's my fear too..
There are alot of racist rednecks who will come out to vote for McCain in November, just to avoid having a black President. They don't care if he would be a good leader or not, and these same people don't like Hillary either.

Recently, CNN showed poll results that revealed that a good percentage of Dems would vote for McCain if their candidate didn't get the nomination.

14. That's a prediction. Here's mine...
If Hillary is the nominee, the Republicans will come out in droves to vote against her. They HATE Hillary. She has been their number 1 enemy for 20 years. She has a 37% approval rating.

Also, we should not have to court the bigot vote. The true bigots have voted Republican for 40 years and will continue to. If they won't vote for a black man, I doubt they would vote for a woman.

26. Precisely.
Stop fighting for the wingnut idiot vote. The kind of person who would get all worked up about this, or any myriad of faux Obama "scandals", is the kind of person who wouldn't vote for Obama under any circumstance.

21. I don't think the bigotry is a huge factor
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 12:22 AM by theredpen
People started whispering about "President Obama" in 2004. Over on Free Republic, they said, "Not going to happen," but not because he's black. The Freepers (most of them, anyway) would be happy to vote of Condaleeza Rice. She black and a woman. The up-to-date wingnut is not racist, but they are culturist and they are deathly afraid of "librulz."

Obama scares them because he's a candidate who could finally break the spell of fear that the Republicans have been trading on for 8 years.

she has pissed off even some hard core dems who will ALWAYS vote for a dem.

The Dems have been strongly supported by the black community for years
and cannot get elected without that support.

If there were no Barack Obama, the Clintons wouldn't be having the fight of their
political lives right now.

And mathematically - Hillary cannot win!

Princeton Releases Michelle Obama’s Senior Thesis

by Sarah Lake

Princeton University has recently released Michelle Obama’s senior thesis after previously making it unavailable to the public, according to an article in The Daily Princetonian.

Obama’s thesis, “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community,” examined the attitudes of the university’s Black alumni toward the Black community during their tenure at Princeton.

“Will they become more or less motivated to benefit the Black community?” Obama, then Michelle Robinson, wrote in her thesis. After surveying 89 Black alumni, Obama’s study showed that Black undergraduates at Princeton saw a reduction in how strongly they identified with the Black community.

The thesis has caused somewhat of a controversy due to its prior unavailability and now because of its racial subject matter. It is now being discussed in the media as to whether the content of her thesis will have an effect on her husband’s bid for the presidency.

“Her thesis seems especially pertinent given the questions that have been raised off and on about the supposed ‘tight-rope’ of racial identity politics that some claim Sen. Obama has to carefully navigate,” Princeton College Democrats president, Rob Weiss, said in an e-mail to The Princetonian.

And, they handed it right over.

If they don't like it, why do they act the way that MO says they will? Why do they let another person tell them who they are and call the tune that they dance to?

There's a whole HELL of a lot of people in this country who don't know shit about Freedom. Or what they do know amounts to the freedom to buy whatever, usually on credit, so it ain't Freedom at all.

15. Hillary circulated anti-Obama emails...
...in Iowa. In fact, one of her Iowa Directors was fired--after an Obama supporter got
one of these emails. These emails were of the "Obama is a Muslim" variety. During the
week that the Clinton campaign sent out these Rovian emails, Bob Kerrey rolled out his
endorsement of Hillary Clinton by saying, "I know we're going to beat Barack Hussein Obama!"

Kerrey immediately apologized for his remarks---which were obviously orchestrated and part of
some Clinton smear campaign.

She tried this bullshit in Iowa. She also planted questions in Iowa.

We weren't impressed. In fact, she came in third in Iowa.

Let's hope that North Carolinians kick Hillary to the curb...even harder than we did in Iowa.

Each day brings new gutter behavior from the Clinton camp.

There are so many ungrammatical quotations that it's impossible to believe Princeton would let it through. Secondarily, if Michelle had more "radical beliefs"--radical, that is, by the standards of the dominant culture--when she was 22, so what? I had some pretty fucked up ideas myself (must worse than Michelle's) when I was a senior in college. I have had even MORE fucked up ideas while in graduate school. I hope my dissertation, when I finish it, has the most fucked up ideas that would scare the bejeezus out of the folks in NC. Then maybe I can get a tenure track job at Duke.

20. Stop being afraid of the rightwing smear machine
I am sick of the argument that "we have seen nothing yet" and "wait for the RW smear machine to rev up". It doesn't matter who the nominee is. IT DOESN'T MATTER. They will attack, attack, attack if it is Obama or Hillary. Hillary is not immune to their attacks. Don't say "she's been vetted" either because it won't matter! They will bring up every stupid scandal from the 90s and make up new ones.

We have to stop fearing the RW smear machine if we want to win. We have to fight back. We lost in 2004 because we didn't fight back.

29. And, if we want to get all classist and racial and wingnutty...
... how about when the former First Lady and presidential mother Barbara Bush said, infamously, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina:

http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001054719

In a segment at the top of the show on the surge of
evacuees to the Texas city, Barbara Bush said: "Almost
everyone I’ve talked to says we're going to move to
Houston."

Then she added: "What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas.
Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

won't vote for Obama because he's black. One told me to my face, the other didn't, but I know.

One of them also told me -

She would never ever vote for McCain because after a speech, he left the stage without waiting for or offering his hand to Cindy.

She would never ever vote for Hillary because of the "home baking cookies" statement YEARS ago.

And I think many people don't look any further than these examples I cited, which is disheartening.
