Game plan: Beginning Monday Senators supporting HRC begin
telling Obama it is time to quit.

Convention Game Plan: Nobody said Hillary was stupid. By taking this fight to the convention, she's forcing Obama to become the guy who's against counting every vote. After the 2000 debacle, does Obama want to be that guy?

1. Game Plan: If they do that, they'll sound like dopes, because...
they have no angle to base it on. I HOPE they try to tell the presumptive nominee to drop out. It will make the campaign a more complete laughingstock.

52. The problem is...
...it could very well play out that way. Is it Hillary's fault those are the rules? No.

Hillary doesn't have to win...she just needs to prevent Obama from winning. Then when the superdelegates come into play, she has just as much chance as he does.

Is this the best way this whole process could be done?

No, absolutely not. If you don't like it, work to get the rules changed.

I have a feeling this may be the last primary season superdelegates are used.

What they would discover if they actually looked in to it was that a slew of Hillary's not-caucus votes came from Rush Limbaugh's minions. But I guess that doesn't bother you.

He doesn't have the votes, you're right, but there is no scenario, barring a political miracle the likes of which have NEVER been seen, and no prudent person could expect to happen, where Hillary is able to overcome his lead on her.

49. I can...
If neither candidate has enough votes by the convention...superdelegates come into play. If you think the superdelegates are going to vote for Obama just because he's leading in delegates or has the popular vote, you just may be mistaken.

No, at that point Hillary has just as much chance to win as Obama does. That's a fact.

I'm Obama's age and have dedicated plenty of years to the party, donating my time, money and holding fundraisers (not all of Hillary's supporters are working class and uneducated). It's precisely because I know the people involved and the wheeling and dealing that goes behind the scenes is that I will not vote for Obama. IMO he is not fit to be president at this point in time.

10. Another "under the bus" analogy...
But that is where HRC will have to throw the voting population of Democrats to achieve a victory at the convention. I am not saying it can't be done, but I am saying it would be a disastrous idea, far beyond any imagined disaster of Obama's 2008 supposed unelectability.

19. Funny because the original plan the Obama people had
was to take it all the way to the convention. They studied the DNC plan for the Primary and saw how the delegates would be given out in proportion. They knew they could go all the way to the Convention trailing the leader and make a case at the convention. They had a plan of focusing on Small Caucus States instead of Big Primary States. Once they got in the lead though, it was all "It will hurt the party if this goes to the convention."

Edwards also had the same plan to go all the way to the convention trailing the leader. That was his main goal. He ended up too far behind and was being shadowed by the whole Obama VS Clinton, so he figured he wouldn't have a strong case at the convention.

So basically what I'm saying is...Obama is a cream puff who's not coming out of the convention the nominee. Clinton is going to go on to bury McCain and become President sending "Wish You Were Here" Postcards of the White House to Obama who will be on permanent vacation in the Virgin Islands.

32. Does she want to be them?
You ask if Obama wants to be that guy, but what about her? Isn't her argument that when all is said and done the Superdelegates have every right to disenfranchise the voters and override them because the rules allow it? The arguments are too convenient... primaries are cool, caucuses somehow undemocratic but even less democratic superdelegates are ok again. There's no consistency to the logic other than does it work to her advantage or not.

Is that who she wants to be?

It would have been great if that kitchen sink strat had never come out but it did, and once one side starts swinging it you can't expect the other to stand there and take it. The whole campaign never should have gone this direction and she's far enough behind that though not a mathematical impossibility it's highly unlikely that she can catch him. That leaves her in either the same position as Huckabee was, not a math major but hoping for a miracle, or hoping to disenfranchise us through the superdelegates.

It's not a good position for either candidate right now and the sooner we get this crap done with the better. It's McCain who is more the winner with this strat so far.

While that kind of tactic might have made sense immediately after Texas and Ohio, it makes no sense at all for it to happen now. None. And quite frankly it's every bit as laughable as Hillary offering him the VP slot. But then again, considering the usual tenor of your posts, I'm pretty sure you're just pulling it out of your arse.
