Why Hillary keeps going. Something about which to feel good. |
|
I have a very good feeling that party insiders on both sides know for a fact that no matter what happens in our primaries the Dems will win big in Congress AND win the presidency. The media's polls are nonsense. They are based on calls to land-lines. That's old school. People call OUT on land-lines. They ignore caller ID they don't recognize. People use cell phones so the polls are becoming ridiculous. The Dem turnout in our primaries is record breaking. The Repuke turnout is in the cellar.
The Clinton campaign knows this. So do the repukes. That's why they have no viable candidate. Even repukes hate McCain. They're just trying to make him seem respectable. They all dropped out because fighting for the nomination is just a waste of time and more importantly, money. They just want to keep it close. They know a blow-out would be devestating to their party and the conservative movement.
The Clintons are fighting tooth and nail despite the consequences because they know if they can actually pull out a win somwhow, they will win in November, no matter how damaged or divided our party becomes. I voted for Hillary in Texas, but after the embellishment over Bosnia, I can't support her now.
No matter what happens next, I feel very good about a Democratic government in 2009. Out of Iraq and adults in charge once again of the executive branch.
