I am proud of Hillary Clinton |

Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 08:47 AM by JKaiser
I am really really inspired by her because she refuses to give up or to back down. I think that is an excellent characteristic that a president should have. Because of her determination I know that she will do the things she promises in her stump speeches and we will get Universal Health Care. If she is this determined I can she her battling the lobbyist and getting us out of Iraq. She gets what she want! She is a fighter that's for sure. I remember in 2000 when the election was stolen from Gore. People everywhere pressured him to give up because he was hurting the economy and the US. THE Hanging Chad became the biggest joke on every late night talk show.. I also believe that it hurt Gore reputation.. NOw people are saying that hillary will ruin the democratic party, people are acting like she is a republican, people are pressuring hillary to dropout, She has become a joke on late night talk shows.. I also believe it is hurting her reputation.. SHE is one of us, a Democrat, someone fighting for us! I want democratic candidate who fights dirty, because that's our only chance to beat the evil republicans.. IF hillary loses this thing.. She will be remembered as a true fighter and a true democrat!
HIllary and Barack are AWESOME! I Love them both!GO DEMS!We all need to calm down and let them fight and at the end we need to Support whoever wins!

3. I'm ashamed of her. I support her here in the past when the Limbaughs and |
|
Hannitys smear her on the radio but her conduct and her campaign's conduct in this primary election has been disgraceful.
If nationally my fellow Dems nominate her, I will support the ticket but would be far, far happier with ANY of the other 7 of our original announced Dems.

8. Why do you continue to overlook Obama's disgraceful tactics, |
|
the mischaracterizations, the race baiting, Why?
The MSM has dictated your view of the contest. You go along with them because it helps your candidate. It will change.

The demonizers are trying to divide and destroy the party. They won't succeed.
I'm proud of Hillary too. We have two great candidates. We had even greater ones. I prefer one of the remaining two over the other. All were vastly superior to and republican. Either would make a good president. Hillary would be profoundly groundbreaking and progressive. this is the chance for read social and economic change. Obama - not so much.

15. Like any quality, tenaciousness can be for good or for ill |
|
and it's utterly fucking ridiculous to say that Gore backed down from a fight in 2000.
Hillary has her good qualities, and if she's the nom, I'll vote for her. Unfortunately, my impression about her fighting skills is that she uses them chiefly for her own ambition.

I admire the way she stands up to the media/pundit/Obama smear machine and keeps going out there, getting support and most of all, talking about the issues.

27. One thing I can say about Hillary WITH PRIDE is that she is NOT easily intimidated. |
|
That is a VERY important quality for a president to have. I wonder how many of US could withstand the hatred, ridicule and daily blasting by the media that she gets (deserved or not).
Just because Obama has a huge following -- it does not necessarily follow that he will be the best president for our country. George W had a huge following too. Now, before you start throwing things at me, I am not saying that George W and Obama are in the same boat. The only point I am making is... just because a large number of people are all excited about a candidate, it doesn't necessarily mean that candidate deserves to be president. Strictly by the letter of the law, I suppose it does. But don't expect me to get excited about Obama just because everybody is bowing down to his greatness.
I have to admit that I am occasionlly moved by Obama's speaking skills. He is an extremely intelligent man. In my book, however, he has not yet earned the right to be President of the United States. I feel Hillary is better, but not that much better. The only person that measures up to my expectations of what a president should be is Al Gore. I am not convinced that Obama can pull off success in the general election. To tell you the truth, I would be happy if either Barack or Hillary became President. However, if Barack does become the nominee and then LOSES to McCain... I will be very very very pissed. And I will wager my life's savings that everyone here will blame Hillary if he does lose. She makes a great scapegoat.
