Who in the Democratic Party is currently "Dead to you," "Thrown under the bus," etc... |
|
I've seen everyone from Bill Clinton to Howard Dean to Ted Kennedy mentioned as such. Why not get it out in the open, right here, right now?
Personally, the only one who qualifies for me is still Lieberman, and he's not even in the Party anymore.

1. Why doesn't someone design a higher bus? |
|
That way if you get thrown under it, it call roll right over you and leave you unscathed.
Or maybe a bus made out of Nerf® material...

9. I'd pretty much concur with this list but add on |
|
Harry Reid (for being a spineless wimp), Dianne Feinstein (for being a war profiteer and a coward on nominees), Chuck Schumer and Rahm Emanuel (for the DSCC and DCCC railroading progressives out of races).
I think the only way for us to win longterm is to move our party back to the left where it belongs so that it is recognizable in difference and principle from the much hated corporate enemy that is the Republican Party.

18. If you're throwing all these Dems under the bus you must be in |
|
the wrong forum. Any candidate that can cause that much damage to the party should not get the nomination. With that much hate being caused by one man the country doesn't stand a chance.

22. I'm not sure that you make much sense with your inference... |
|
My post was centered on spineless, corporatist DINOs who do what's good for their own pocketbooks and their political lobbyist donors rather than for the middle class and poor Americans who have no other voice. Those people aren't Democrats anyway. The Republicans are the party of the rich and corporate elite.
You try to pass this off onto "one man" whom I assume is Obama although it's hard to tell what you are saying. Attacks on Obama didn't incriminate these people, their own greed and backroom thievery did.

The only money that I will bother to send is to HRC, if she is the nominee. I sent her some money last week for the PA primary. I am ready to tell half this GD party to drop dead.

the liberal left wing of the party is dead to the rest of the party.
Who is "dead" to me?
Obama is. HRC is. Pelosi is. Every elected Democrat who did not have the courage to stand up to the Bush administration is dead to me.
To start with.
I'd like to say that every voter who votes for a centrist/corporatist/enabler/3rd way/"new" democrat is dead to me, as well.

Hillary Clinton (for running a vile, Rovian election campaign) Bill Clinton (ditto) James Carville (for enabling said vile, Rovian campaign) Mark Penn (ditto) Joe Lieberman (Repuke-with-a-D-next-to-his-name) Nancy Pelosi ("Impeachment is off the table") Harry Reid (for bending over to Bush and trying to shove FISA with telco immunity down our throats) Ken Salazar (ditto, also add the Military Commissions Act and other DINO votes)
I'm sure I didn't get all of them, but it's a good start

JFK, Wellstone, MLK, RFK, FDR, etc.
Tongue in cheek, but true. There are those I like more, and those I like less, but as long as they are still breathing, there is the (sometimes very small) possibility of redemption. Think Saul/Paul. Or, perhaps more appropriate, and revealing what I did with my weekend, Anakin to Vader to Anakin...
