Edwards praises both Clinton, Obama
<snip>
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. - Former Sen. John Edwards, in his first public speech since dropping his White House bid two months ago, praised Democratic rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama on Saturday, but declined to endorse either candidate.

"I have a very high opinion of both of them," Edwards said at the Young Democrats of North Carolina convention. "We would be blessed as a nation to have either one of them as president."

Both Obama and Clinton have repeatedly lobbied Edwards for his endorsement, flying into Chapel Hill to meet with him privately and touting his accomplishments on the campaign trail. Before leaving the race, Edwards won a promise from both Clinton and Obama to make ending poverty central to their ongoing presidential campaigns.

10. It's hard to imagine you ever supported Edwards considering
how over the top radical you are in defending Obama.

And I mean over the top.

8. I would like to thank John Edwards for being in the race.
He brought forward actual issues and FORCED the other candidates to address them. If Obama weren't in the race, I would've supported Edwards.

12. I'm glad
that he is remaining neutral and not choosing sides, he's such a fair man. *sigh* Edwards' fairness makes me remember why I choose him as my candidate. :loveya: I'm committed to Obama but I miss Edwards. :-(

13. He was very gracious considering that
after he suspended his campaign, neither candidate has talked about issues, much less poverty.
