Why Is Hillary Clinton Lying?

Two weeks ago, I wrote a story that observed a disturbing trend in Hillary Clinton’s campaign – her growing tendency to stretch the truth, twist what her chief rival was saying and then rely on her supporters to go on the offensive against you if you spoke up.

Yet, even with the veracity of her account in question, Clinton stretched the truth even further.

She told that story about sniper-fire in Bosnia. Someone dug up the CNN footage of her trip. She lied and got caught.

She's got noone to blame but herself for this.

15. It's worse than that

The story just defied common sense -- whether or not there was film footage of it.

Think about it. What military commander or Secret Service agent in charge is going to allow the first lady and her teenage daughter to fly into the middle of a firefight? To quote Poppy Bush: "Not gonna happen." What a career ender that is. If a Navy captain bumps his ship into another vessel, his career is over. What happens to you if the first daughter takes a bullet in the head on your watch because you put her into a firefight?

You don't need to be very bright to see that this story was preposterous on the face of it.

Cite me a lie that Hillary has told and I will place it alongside one that Obama has told, and we'll see which is worse.

For example, up against the example of Hillary lying when she claimed to have been under sniper fire in Bosnia (which she later had to retract), I'll cite the example of Obama lying when he first told the press how much Rezko had donated to his campaigns (an amount he later had to retract, then after he lied again, had to retract yet again).

Hillary's lie had to do with personal self-aggrandizement. So when the truth finally came out, she was made to look vain, deceptive, self-important and silly -- as a PERSON.

Obama's lie had to do with political favors and influence, as well as his own personal honesty. So when the truth finally came out, he was made to look devious, deceptive and dishonest -- as a PUBLIC OFFICIAL

Or, rather, he would have been made to look like that, if the wingnut MSM (Obama's biggest supporters) didn't 'spike' the Obama lie and lead with the Hillary lie for three-four days in a row.

What IS news is what the news business SAYS is news.

Photographs and video of the arrival ceremony, combined with contemporaneous news reports, tell a very different story.”

Dobbs awarded Clinton the maximum of “four Pinocchios” for telling a “whopper.”

Yet, instead of immediately retracting the false account and apologizing, the Clinton campaign went after Dobbs and the Post, trying to browbeat them into retreat on the story.

Lissa Muscatine, one of Clinton’s speechwriters in 1996 who was on the trip, accused Dobbs of failing to provide a full picture of what took place. “We were told that a welcoming ceremony on the tarmac might be canceled because of sniper fire in the hills surrounding the air strip,” she said."

So, did lissa muscatine write the false account of hilary, chelsea, and Sinbad's trip and hilary just delivered the lines or did hilary come up with it herself?
