<snip>
The party ought to lay off the calls for Clinton to drop out, at least for now, because her presence at worst is making Obama a better candidate

<snip>
Still, imagine what the endorsement of 20+ superdelegates this week would have done for Obama’s aura of inevitability. Why didn’t Obama do this? Do they want to wait until after Pennsylvania so that if they keep it close, they use that as the pivot point? Or do they not have as many superdelegates in their back pocket as they’ve led some of us to believe?

Obama w/soldiers:

3. Obama's already ahead in elected superdelegates; Clinton leads in DNC
http://www.politico.com/superdelegates/

Governors 9 C, 12 O, 9 Uncommitted
Representatives 72 C, 70 O, 76 U
Senators 13 C, 16 O, 19 U

I know that's a tiny lead for Obama on these, but for me it undoes the argument that Clinton should stay in because she's leading in the superdelegates; her lead is pretty much all DNC officials.

5. Kind of interesting on the senate side - You would hope that
if you'd been in there an extra 6 years - you would have them all, huh.

I see you're a Biden fan - me 2. I hope O picks him for VP. Do you
think it could happen?

22. In New York she has 41 superdelegates
That is why they keep sending Carville out - intimidate any of the NY superdelegates from leaving - once they go its over.

4. If he's got them, there might be good reason to whithold their announcements
If Obama keeps things close in Pennsylvania, say a seven point loss, that will make it even harder for Clinton to mount a comeback. At that point, a mass endorsement by superdelegates followed by a predicted strong victory in NC might combine for the knockout blow for Clinton's campaign.

10. My god, what's holding him up?
Obama's mastered levitation!

Well, that's it, I guess. You'd better give him the nomination if you know what's good for you, because it's only a matter of time before he masters invisibility and teleportation as well.
