This is why this MUST end soon: John McCain!
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 06:37 PM by Kerry2008
Watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y395Tftgz0E

Just do it. It's about eight minutes long.

I knew Senator McCain was bad, but watching this...it made my stomach churn.

At one point in the video, Senator McCain is asked about CBS about the waffling he did on the Confederate flag issue. McCain laughs and says he did more than waffle, and admits to waffling for "all of the wrong reasons." The questioner asks if he did it out of ambition, and he says yes. The sorry son-of-a-bitch admits to lying and purposely doing so, waffling on the issue on purpose, out of ambition. If he's willing to say he lied about this issue on television, what else is he lying about? What else is he waffling on because of ambition?

We've heard the criticism of Senator McCain that he'll say and do anything to get elected. This one example showed it. And the rest of the video will show you why that CAN'T happen!!

Imagine our foreign policy dictated by Senator McCain. Pat Buchanan talks in the video how dangerous McCain is because his whole career is based on military purposes, and if we put President McCain in office there will be more wars and McCain is in everyones face using the same kind of tough and in-your-face tactics that got the rest of the world to hate us under George W. Bush.

The war issue alone is enough to want us to end this nomination process SOON!!

We need a nominee. And fast.

One candidate has a real chance at winning the nomination. The other doesn't.

And the candidate who can't win is continuing on blocking the eventual nominee from winning the magic number of delegates to officially lock in the nomination.

She's threatening to take this to the convention in August.

While McCain is "defining" himself to the public with EFFECTIVE ad's like these:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=J_A53PAxeR8
http://youtube.com/watch?v=j-QYIP7o2-A

While his campaign staff tries to define McCain as an American hero, Senator McCain is traveling the globe looking Presidential and meeting with foreign leaders.

What is our eventual nominee doing? He's fighting with a candidate who can't win the nomination over a FUCKING pastor about some comments he made while not as a member of EITHER campaign.

While John McCain gets free pass to define himself, and look Presidential without any challenger from the Democratic side, our eventual nominee is smacking away the flies from his Democratic opponent whose throwing the kitchen sink to trash him and trash our chances at winning the Presidency in November.

We can't wait till August for the eventual nominee to take the nomination we ALL (even those who are supporting the other candidate) know is going to be the nominee in November when Americans vote.

Do you want Senator McCain to have five months unopposed?

Do you want him to continue to effectively define himself, and define the race?

Or do you want to continue to support a losing candidate who can't win the nomination?

She's continuing to run out of ambition, not what's good for the nation or the party.

It's over. It's time to unite. Senator McCain CANNOT steal this election because Senator Obama, the eventual nominee, is being trashed by fellow Democrats out of the ambitions of one candidate who can't take a loss and doesn't want to give up because she feels she's owed the White House.

I respect the hell out of her, but I can't believe what she's doing. I beg her supporters to put down the kitchen sink, join in this cause TOGETHER, and let's defeat John McCain.

If we wait till August because of YOUR candidates selfish ambitions, we lose.

And thanks for nothing.

It's time. Our moment is now. We face a very, very dangerous and manipulative opponent. Don't underestimate his ability to shift to the American peoples wants and needs to get elected, and don't underestimate the American peoples ability to get fooled--again.

Will you join us? Or will you continue on a losing fight with a losing candidate with a losing Karl Rove like strategy that will only divide us, divide our party, and give John McCain the White House?

3. Well if this race continues till August, Senator McCain will get a free pass.
By the time August rolls around, it'll be too late.

2. It's not up to us whether or not Hillary stays in, nor
for how long.

What we CAN do is begin a Dem anti-McCain campaign. Generic spots countering the points he's making on his. Then, when we do get a nominee, s/he can carry on from that point.

You gotta dance with who brung ya. We can spend the next few months issuing warnings of what will happen if.... or we can start doing something NOW.

4. The DNC is already running advertisements. But without an opponent, he's able to define the race.
And define himself to the American people, before we have a chance to call him out on his lies and flip-flops.

12. I understand,
and I agree it would be best if we could get our nominee NOW.

But we have no control over that (apparently), so we have to do all we can in the interim.

You bring up some excellent points, and hopefully we'll be moving ahead SOON.! :hi:

14. I hope so. As someone, like you, who supported someone else originally, it's difficult to lose.
So I understand why some Clinton supporters want to fight on.

But the primary fight isn't more important than the general election fight.

We need to start focusing on John McCain, and stopping attacking each other.

7. AGREED--The CBS interview part is the most telling. Admitting to lying, and waffling out of ambition

13. It saddens me to see what opporunity we have in 2008, and to see us bitterly divided. We shouldn't.
Hillary Clinton has given this race a tough fight.

But it's over.

We CANNOT let John McCain have a free pass to define himself, and dominate this race.

August is too late!!

think we have our nom and the time is now to expose McCain. He's SCARY.

100 years of war--he's telling us, and he promises it. And I, for one, don't want this man in the WH
He's MORE dangerous than George W. Bush.

I didn't know that was possible.

But Senator McCain will be.

and the nominee the delegates choose there should have little trouble dispensing with him.

24. On the other hand,
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 07:59 PM by cbayer
it is possible to turn these lemons into lemonade.

Clinton and Obama's platforms are so similar that it is possible for the democratic party to start running against McCain based on the striking differences with his platform.

Without a defined opponent, it is impossible for McCain to know who he needs to challenge. It is particularly hard for him to define the demographics that he needs to target. Those demographics are the things that most differentiate Clinton and Obama at this point.

It would be nice to be able to rally around a candidate now, but the fact is that it has not yet been determined who that candidate will be. No matter how badly you want it to be so, it is not done yet.

Your own candidate is not asking for Clinton to abandon her campaign. Why are you?

He flat out said that he doesn't care what the majority of Americans think????

What the hell???? This has got to end, that video is enough to make it end.

Do we think Russia, and China are going to stand idly by, while we attack their interests in Iran???

Good grief people....if we elect him, we might as well say "welcome to WWIII.

Good bye to one of our cities? which one do you pick? how many would you sacrifice?

All those calling for war with Iran, when there is no evidence that they have nuclear weapons or are making them, per UN report...can kiss my ass.

Gawd this pisses me off!

I suggest everyone watch that video and WAKE THE HELL UP!!!

interesting

So the 28% of Clinton voters that have already said they will go to McCain if Obama is the nominee are more likely to vote for Obama if Hillary is forced out of the race?

I don't think so.
