What the hell is an "Ooga Booga Smooga Wooga" you ask?

It started on a thread Stellanoir posted about thinking positively before the 2004 election...The machines were rigged but the power of positive thought is strong.

Then, something magical happened. A skeptic and a believer found a common chant!

I was being my typical snarky ass self as 'OMC', but then as soon as someone chimed in saying they liked it, it broke me from 'OMC' mode and into just being me as a real person mode, and I commented that I actually liked it too and we all shared a laugh. Since then, I've been fond of all those in that thread who I had originally been snarking against. Just goes to show that being online is a game sometimes, but that there are real people behind the keyboard all with good hearts. I'll never forget that night and the start of ooga booga smooga wooga, nor the product line it created lol. In fact, I drink coffee out of my 'Ooga Booga Smooga Wooga' coffee mug all the time! Makes me smile every time I look at it. :)

Earlier this evening, a friend and I were looking at the various logos on the Logobama site and we saw the "Ooga Booga Smooga Wooga" logo. I laughed and said, "I know who that belongs to." She said, "What does it mean?" I said, "I don't remember the details, but I know it's a chant that started during the last election." I told her when I had some time, I'd search for the original thread and send her the link.

Well I just logged in to DU and looky here! I got what I wanted and I didn't even have to ask for it. :bounce:
