Not going to vote for the nominee? You're missing out on history. |
|
This is the opportunity to be a part of a historic moment. I know that race or gender is the last reason you should have for selecting a candidate. But if you're actually considering sitting on your hands on then that's where you're at. Voting for the first African-American or the first Woman president is better than not voting at al. It's certainly better than voting for another white male republican. If you don't like a candidate's policy positions then that's fine. But someday your kids will ask you about election 2008 and you'll say that I didn't participate.

1. Those who won't vote don't care about history |
|
or the future of our country.

I wrote an OP about this a while ago. Either way, we have a chance to make history this year, and it will kill me if we blow it because we get so caught up in our candidate preferences that we can't come together to support the eventual nominee.

3. I did. I voted. But it doesn't count. Or-according to some, it shouldn't count. |
|
Others say it can't count.
Maybe the fact is, it won't count in the GE either.
