Hottest Ticket in in Allentown
Just got back from working at the Obama office in Allentown today and canvasing. The hottest ticket in town is a ticket to see the fine Senators Casey and Obama speak tommorow at Muhlenberg College. We opened the office at 9 and there was already a line around the block to get tickets. People waited patiently for over an hour to get their ticket to see the Bus Tour as it rolls through Allentown. I felt like I was giving out Rolling Stones tickets people were so excited.

Yes We Can!

5. I haven't heard reports of this happening for Clinton
I know that it's anecdotal, but I've never heard anyone (on DU or the real world) tell me about packed Clinton events, or lines around the block.

6. She spoke at a college in the south eastern part of the state like 10 days ago
and 2 hours before the event, I was getting emails from friends and co-workers asking me if I wanted to go as there weren't many RSVPs and they put a call out on the news trying to get people to go.

10. So we're waiting here in Allentown.
Well were living here in allentown
And theyre closing all the factories down
Out in bethlehem theyre killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the second world war
Spent their weekends on the jersey shore
Met our mothers in the uso
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And were living here in allentown
But the restlessness was handed down
And its getting very hard to stay
Well were waiting here in allentown
For the pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coke
And chromium steel
And were waiting here in allentown
But theyve taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled away
Every child had a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an american flag in our face
Well Im living here in allentown
And its hard to keep a good man down
But I wont be getting up today
And its getting very hard to stay
And were living here in allentown

People in Allentown hate that song. It's also completely out of date if it wasn't already when it was written. Groan!

But I won't hold it against ya! ;)

They don't play that tommorow.

Allentown hates Billy Joel's Allentown song.

14. I Went Through That Yesterday...

I heard that they had a much rougher time in Harrisburg yesterday though. They had almost twice as many people line up for tickets than the had available. Then, to make ut even worse, they decided at some point to limit the tickets to only one per person (rather than being able to sign up for two). A lot of people were angry about it.

15. We almost did that
I was working the "ticket window" When we got down to 50 tickets left we were thinking about one per person but we kept it at two. We had people we had to turn away at the end of the day which made me sad.
