I bought "The Audacity of Hope" today. And so far, it's been absolutely wonderful. |
|
The writer fills me with hope.
I wonder who he is ;)
Who ever he is, we need more leaders like him.
He seems to understand things, and listens and learns. He has wisdom, but he doesn't claim to be wise. He's the type of guy who will sit down for a talk, and only say a few words and just listen to you and your problems. And he'll give you advice, even if it's not what you want to hear.
That's the kind of President we need.
Maybe we should elect the author??

2. I read it last year. It is very inspirational. |
|
It helped me to understand Obama's views on bringing people together. It is easy to see why he stays above the fray and doesn't get down in the gutter like .... well, some political candidates have. ;)

6. It's fantastic, isn't it? |
|
Really grabs you in that first chapter, when he talks about his failed congressional run, and how hard his own restlessness was on him, and his family. And especially how hard it was for him to tell Michelle that he just had to keep pushing.
That book inspired me so, so much.

I couldn't put it down. It gives great insight to his ideas, and his aspirations for this country.
I haven't read "Dreams of My Father" yet, but plan to real soon.
