Kate Walsh Visits Bryn Mawr

Actress Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice) stopped by Bryn Mawr College last night to speak about why she supports Barack. In a science lecture hall, over 200 students listened to Kate speak about women’s issues, healthcare, the war in Iraq and why Barack should receive the Democratic nomination.

"You can see how a leader will act by the way a campaign is run. Barack doesn’t just talk about campaign finance reform—it’s happening. He isn’t taking or giving political favors. Every person is of special interest to him. He has this country’s best interest in mind."

But to say with a straight face that you will get anywhere in Chicago machine politics without "giving or taking favors" is patently ridiculous. That's part of what being a politician, especially in the city that works, is all about.
