Obama bowled a 37 last night in Altoona
Obama did improve, nearly getting a strike in one frame, and in the seventh, picking up a spare, giving him a score of 37. Casey had a score of 71 after getting a strike, and Hart, with one less frame, racked up a score of 82.

I've bowled a 279.

Good thing they are better at governing than bowling!

15. It was my high game ever.
But, 37 is just sad.

No respect lost for Obama here, though. Some people just don't like to bowl. Some people have never bowled.

5. Sounds like my scores, LOL
I think I bowled a 37 once. I joined a mixed league when I was first married because my wife said we needed some exercise and to go out a bit more. One night I threw 7 strikes in a game (I have no idea how that happened), a double, open, triple, open, double, open, and wound up with only a 191. I think I broke the record for the most strikes in a game with a score of under 200.

frames and not an entire game. 37 is BAD, seriously haha.

29. was two now one

That's a 7-10 Split, Mr. President

The White House Bowling Alley is a one-lane bowling alley in the basement of the White House under the North Portico.

Bowling lanes were first built in the ground floor of the West Wing as a birthday gift for President Truman in 1947 (in the location of the present-day Situation Room); Truman didn't care for bowling himself, but allowed staff to start a league. These were moved to the Old Executive Office Building in 1955 to make way for a mimeograph room.

In 1969, President and Mrs. Nixon, both avid bowlers, had a new one-lane alley built (paid for by friends) in an underground workspace area below the driveway leading to the North Portico

Is Obama's bowling an indication on how he could govern?

Would his economic policies be a gutter ball?

If he couldn't get the spare, how can he bring our allies together
to help solve the problems in the middle east?

Faux News asks this and more in an upcoming story and video.

56. Well, my reference was plainly to the USSR and China. Certainly, he
wasn't too swift in our own hemisphere. He wanted to continue to keep a lid on things, and as he often did, he overreacted and over-acted. And behaved badly, certainly. Similarly, he didn't want to be the "first President to lose a war." He had LBJ-itis. And he behaved badly there, too.

But my reference wasn't to his continued and often misguided prosecution of events that preceded his administration.

So :eyes: whatever.

58. i've bowled over 200 a few times
But if I go bowl a frame after years of not bowling, I suck. I start to pick it up towards the end of the first frame, and then if i bowl a 2nd or 3rd I get back to being decent.

Same for golf and basketball. I shot some hoops the other day for the first time in a long time, and airballed up a few bricks, and then after 6 or 7 shots started to swish em.

75. I suck at bowling too
So I can relate to him about this. But at least he was a good sport about it. And I hear that he plays a mean game of hoops.

79. First of all.. he probably did not bowl an entire game
and was probably a bit "distracted"..

Somehow, I think bowling was never "his game" anyway..

83. Sounds like my score
I usually bowl a steady stream of gutter balls. It was so bad that the bowling alley I went too offered to put up the "bumpers" that prevented gutter balls every time I showed up.

Guess this means that Sen. Obama should give up that dream of going out on the Pro Bowlers Tour. Pity that.

88. I set up a fundraising page in honor of that.

Donate $37 or amounts ending with .37 in honor of his bowling score!

89. The problem wasn't the score, but how he looked doing it
Borderline effeminate. I saw the clips on MSNBC and it was ridiculous. At least fire the damn ball down the lanes. If you're finding the gutter every time you might want to abandon the dainty approach.

This is nothing, but let's not pretend we wouldn't have fun with any candidate who demonstrated public ineptitude in any type of game or sport.

90. Yeah but that's not really fair.
Not after Hillary screamed "Over the line!", pulled out a piece on the lanes and made Obama mark it zero on the third frame. Better to bowl a 37 than enter a world of pain.
