Obama has re-won the Texas caucus. |
|
A few weeks ago I reported on how Obama won the Texas caucus. Somebody got angry at me, called me dishonest, and challenged me to report on the later March 29th caucus.
OK.
He won that too.

I see Sen. Obama picked up another half a dozen or so Super Delegate endorsements, as well. :hi:

27. LOL! And how about the Confederate memorial on the courthouse square ... |
|
near where he won about 60% of my county's delegates to the state convention?
It's not enough to denounce the state -- he has to go into detail about the localities!
;-)

8. I asked this back then . . . |
|
Why does Texas get to vote 2x?? No-one answered me then. Why do they get a primary and a caucus?? Doesn't really seem fair to the people who voted in the Primary earlier.

10. Why does Texas get to vote twice? |
|
How come we have a senate AND a house of representatives?
It's totally unfair.

18. There are several states with the same system in place. |
|
Anyone can vote and then caucus, too. No one is excluded. If you vote during the primary, you can then come back that night to caucus. From the caucus, you are assigned delegates in your precinct.
Then you go to your senate district convention a few weeks later. From there your district gets to figure out how many delegates they can send to the state convention (I believe every state has a state convention). At the state convention, delegates are chosen to go to the national convention (August, Denver).
Obama has done very well in states with the two-step system, I believe he's won a majority of them.

19. Oh I forgot to add something pretty important: |
|
2/3 of the state delegates goes to the candidate who won the PRIMARY. 1/3 of the state delegates go to the candidate who won the CAUCUS.
Clinton did not actually win all of the Texas delegates, as the MSM would have everyone believe.

I was one of 30 Obama delegates for my precinct on Saturday at the district convention. Of the six Clinton delegates for our precinct, only three showed up. We were allowed to send three delegates and three alternates to the district to be decided for state and all six of those ended up being Obama delegates.
My county went for Obama by a huge margin.

Which he will likely do even-more overwhelmingly than on Saturday.
Will I see you there?
