However, teenage pregnancies, in most cases, are experienced as a punishment. Even when one is surrounded by a supportive and understanding family. Even if it is carried to term. I don't think any children are punishments, but the pregnancy itself can be. And, if a teenage girl does get an abortion, that is often experienced as a "punishment" as well.

Many of these "punishments" have ended in blessings, with time. But, one point is that the teenage girl that becomes pregnant suffers exponentially more than the guy that impregnated her.

back in the 1940's when she discovered she was pg. My uncle was 50. They had been married 25 years, had two grown daughters, and a 2 year old grandson. She had a "therapeutic" abortion because of her "heart condition". They wanted no more children at their ages.

My aunt told me that she was have sold her house if she had to in order to get enough money for abortion.
