I watch a lot of MSNBC these days, and I am really sick of
that bastard and his red umbrella as he walks along the countryside telling every child he sees along the way that "maybe I can help."

Screw the huge budget madison avenue advertising. Uh, I watch MSNBC for political discussion, primary related, hence the post in this forum.

2. and while we're at it...
...let's drop-kick that commercial for "$100,000 jobs for $100,000 people" where overweight, clutzy, non-athletic "tennis players" storm the tennis court and knock the "professional" tennis player down as an analogy for the average guy going after whatever the hell job he wants and getting in the way of people "who deserve it." WTF! What elitist classist bullshit! I flip the channel every time I see it. What an insult to 80% of the viewers watching it.

:puke:

7. That one really offends me too
Their message seems to be that if you're a 100K jobseeker you shouldn't have to mix with the peons.

15. That one grates on my nerves too.
Why don't they just say "We cater to the moneyed elites and banish low wage-earners to purgatory"?

30. Yeah, I hate that one too.
It's like a gated community for job seekers. "Sure, you may be unemployed, but you're an unemployed person who USED to earn six figures. We have a job posting service that won't force you to mix with all the riffraff who doesn't deserve to contend for a six-figure job like you had."

28. My guess that what keeps the riff-raff out...
is the exorbitant "enrollment fee" or whatever they call the cost of joining that elite job placement service. A bunch of suckers, if you ask me. (I know you didn't.)

6. I stopped watching. It's so peaceful not listening to all the bullshit
speculation of Tweety and the overwrought and outraged KO and Abrams every night.
Not that I don't like some of the things they say, but so much of it is just pointless fillers
and shouting. Like an Oxyclean commercial. Ugh.

12. Commercials have gotten bad.. the AAR affiliate here in Colorado
keeps playing these two commercials that are driving me insane. One is an ad for a seminar on how to take advantage of all the forclosures by buying property cheap, or as I call it, the "get rich off of someone else's misery" seminar. The other is for some bank who swears they will give a MasterCard to anyone who has an ID. No job, no bank account and no credit check, all you need is an ID. I hope people aren't falling for this shit.
