IMPORTANT QUESTION for DUers
I see a lot of posts attacking other candidates. I understand that each of us believes their candidate may be the best, but what are you going to do if your candidate doesn't get the nomination.

1. Support who ever is the Democratic nominee because defeating Bush is most important.

2. Not vote because my candidate wasn't nominated.

3. Vote for third party if available.

4. Vote for Bush.

I think we should stop attacking each others candidates. What purpose does it serve. Each candidate has made mistakes. Changed positions. Made false claims. The most important thing is to get rid of Bush. So whoever gets the nomination I will support and vote for.

Let's start focussing on changing pro-Bush voters instead of trying to change a pro Dean or pro Kerry voter etc.

2. An appropriate level of reasonable discourse is good.
People need to make the selection of a candidate based on good information. How is it going to be good if we white wash everything? It would not be nearly as appropriate for the candidates themselves to be pointing out negatives, as this would make the victory over Bush more difficult. This forum is a little bit different.

Notice I said reasonable.

6.  Informative threads about candidates provide a valuable service to the DU
community. As a result of this information, I have a more favorable impression of Dennis Kuchinich and a less favorble one of Dr. Dean.
