I live in Lexington KY and I am offended by your remark. This state is no more or no less, racist or gender biased than the majority of this country. It is, however, more conservative including on the Democratic side. Kentucky voted for Bill Clinton in both the 92 and 96 elections and Hillary's support is based not only on her more conservative Democratic views but also on Bill Clinton's popularity. There are only a few areas in this state that have large African-American populations; predominantly, Louisville and Lexington. Kentucky is really very similar to both Ohio and Indiana in that it is a rural and agricultural based with considerable industry. I am so sick of the generalizations that go on among supposedly intelligent people, that anyone would look at one poll and make such a idiotic assumption.

In the long run none of these polls mean dipsh**. I know that. And I don't hang my every hope on them. But a 2:1 margin is strikingly hopeful.

I am part of a team that promotes Hillary in OH, PA, KY. I watch the polls in these states, as well as listen to other "on the ground" information from the campaign.

I predict a similar PA win as the one we saw in OH. About 10%. KY's margin may be a little wider. Indiana's will be narrower.

KY's will narrow. But not by as much as PA's will.

Last I knew, IN was already narrowing. Tho I doubt Hill will completely overtake Barack there. In my mind it is less important, because it doesn't go blue easily. (PA and KY do!)

This is where I live. I can be in IN or KY within 20 minutes... or PA in two hours ... so I follow these states closely and I try to turn them blue.

I,too, have been looking for one with no success. I agree, I do believe that Hillary will win KY, and while she is not my candidate of choice (Edwards was), I just want a Dem to win in the GE. We need to protect the Supreme Court. During 2000, there were these great buttons that said, "It's the Supreme Court, Stupid!" Nothing has changed. I for one will gladly vote for the Dem nominee in November regardless of who it is...how could any Democrat do otherwise? I do have concerns about how easy it will be to beat McCain unless the people who are supporting Obama who have not been part this process before will support the nominee regardless. Otherwise, any Democrat is fine by me.

Plenty of ignorant, racist whites there and not many blacks. And yes, it has become about race. It's pretty clear that blacks are voting for a black guy, most whites are voting for Hillary because they like/love her, but there is no doubt that some are voting against Obama. 97% of Obama's black supporters said they would vote for Clinton against McCain. When the same question was asked of whites supporting Clinton, the number is around 70% that would vote for Obama. So as I said, blacks are voting for a black guy and some whites are voting against a black guy moreso than for Hillary.

BTW, east Texas has some of the most racist people in the nation. Vidor, TX flies their Confederate flags on their properties right by the highway. James Byrd was murdered in Jasper, which is further north but also racist as can be.
