ACTION ALERT: Obama supporters help Richardson finish paying off his debt.
Someone at Kos set up a fundraiser to help Richardson pay off his debt. Richardson's campaign ended with 40,000 cash on hand and 400,000 of debt. In order to show our appreciation for Richardson's brave (and Judas like :eyes: ) endorcement of Obama.. we should all throw in few bucks... (I actually haven't since I am broke until payday. But I will.)

It will also send a good message to other Super Delegates.

1. I'll do it too.
I had actually emailed Richardson a couple of times asking him to endorse Obama so I figure I owe him a couple of bucks for putting up with me.

4. It's called "supporting Democrats", but I expected the spin here.
Obama has a history of helping other Dems with their campaign finances. Clinton has done it, too (when she's not broke).

There's nothing wrong with it.

5. The Clintons helped pay off Vilsack's debt when he withdrew and endorsed her
When people made comments like yours, it was pointed out that Dean helped retire Mosley - Braun's debt after she endorsed him.

Note in all three cases - they endorsed, then they were helped to clear campaign debt. As long as you can't prove that was the reason for the endorsement, this seems standard practice.
