It's Just Words........
I have MSNBC on in the background. They just played a bit of Hillary's speech in Philly now about her comparing herself to Rocky Balboa that she's a fighter and she's going to stay in to win.

I'm sorry - but it really came through that she was just reading someone's words on a paper or prompter and not being sincere. She sounded so disingenuous. That's the difference I see (and hear) when I listen to Barack.

When he speaks - he comes off as sincere and meaningful and genuine.

It just seems like Hillary is going through the motions - but really doesn't believe in what she is saying herself. It seems to me that her supporters are more sincere than she is.

Am I listening too hard? Am I hearing something I shouldn't be? Is she just getting tired and not emoting? Why does she sound like her heart is not in it?

1. No, that's been her problem from the start. She's insecure about her strength and so overcompensates

2. Nope, your hearing the vapid nothing that is her words.
Canned, tiredly rehearsed, disingenuous, insincere. We don't need 4 more year of this crap. We need a leader.

it seriously is like watching paint dry.... This guy would have me asleep in seconds if I had to sit and listen to him for more than about 5 minutes.

6. Listening to him is like watching NASCAR...
It's boring, but you have to keep watching to see the crashes.

(no offense intended to NASCAR fans)

7. last night I was watching some show.........
...I was cleaning at the time and listening to TV so I don't remember which show it was. But it was either Olbermann or Abrams. Anyway, they played part of a speech and you hear McCain say 'my friends...'

I just started laughing......it was soooooo predictable!! Don't all of his speeches start with my friends, something, something?

11. I like the comparison with "watching paint dry".
After one of the primaries I was watching Obama's speech and they cut to McCain's speech. The difference between them was unbelievable. I can't wait to see them debate!

5. I think that's one of Obama's best qualities.........
..every time he speaks, he seems to sound so genuine and sincere.

When Hillary talks, she sounds too much like a typical politician. And when we hear politicians talk like that, we have a tendency not to believe them......no matter what they say.

8. I've had that feeling
since she started talking about Rev. Wright to try and divert attention from snipergate.
She seemed like a wind-up toy that was going out and saying whatever she was told to say.
That's just my impression, and doesn't mean much, but nice to know someone else feels that way.

9. She is in a terrible hole right now because she has to keep answering
the question - will you quit? - and "I am not going to quit" is such a defensive position it will be terrible for her if she can't get the message to change in 2-3 days.

12. They're not even good words, either.
That made me cringe in embarrassment. How hokey. She's Rocky? Really?
