Anyone who has held an apprenticeship knows you don't just sit and watch. It sounds like Michael from The Office trying to act like one of the boys or some awkward and out-of-touch attempt by the suits in the office trying to keep it real.

It just makes her look like an elitist when she gets it wrong. Romney had a similar gaffe at one point when caught "trying to act black".
