Here's your platform:

Bone up on it, because this is who you really want for President with that attitude.

And get ready to defend John McCain's positions here at DU, because I've had it with the sour-grapes defeatism from either side.

If you aren't supporting the Democratic nominee in the fall, this is what you ARE supporting.

The 2000 election should have taught everybody the importance of voting Democratic. We can't afford four more years of this crap.

6. You're welcome.
Since you make your own voting choice, expect to be held accountable for its undeniable result.

Both Barack and Hillary are building massive organizations into the Democratic Party. This is victory enough for either candidate. They have a huge organization that can carry out their policy agendas through the party into the future.

This is what primary elections are all about. Even if your candidate doesn't make it, there will be another election, and you're miles ahead of anyone else in the party.

Party unity after the primary is not just a good idea. It's the only thing that can solidify the gains made by both sides.

Anybody who should know better and chooses not to support the Democratic Party in November is helping John McCain win. Period.

3. Hallef*ckinglujah!!
I haven't been on DU but maybe a dozen times in the last 3 months 'cause I'm sick and tired of all the bullshit going on here. This used to be a family united, and now it's total chaos. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some opinions are bordering on obscene, no matter who they are campaigning for.

7. Absolutely. This is about both sides. People are being disruptive and antagonistic on both sides.
There are people who are trying to heal the divide, but sometimes, you just have to understand the stakes.

John McCain as President are the ultimate stakes. It will be the end of Roe v. Wade. It will be the continuation of the Iraq war. It will be more financial crises swamping this country in debt. That's for damn sure.

We can't afford this type of bloodletting anymore.
