Graphing Delegate Totals - Obama vs Clinton
Made this up on Excel -- Delegate Totals over time. When more than one state voted on a particular day (such as Super Tuesday), then I put them in order by time zone from East coast to West coast, then alphabetical within the time zone - then abroad. Enjoy!

Chart 1: Pledged Delegate totals WITHOUT Michigan and Florida

Chart 2: Pledged Delegate totals INCLUDING Michigan and Florida

*Uncommitteds in MI added to Obama's total.

I take great pride in noting that the point where the totals began to really diverge the most was right after my home state of WA caucused!

:)

Oh ya, I know I have too much free time (or just use it unwisely).

As further proof, I offer the following "Obama-Tron" picture I created:

:silly: <--- I've been using that smiley a lot lately

1. OK, if you're that good with graphics, you can get beyond the default settings in Excel
:P

5. Shucks, I just now discovered how to post an Excel chart
without taking a picture of my computer screen!

I'm really technologically challenged.

6. oh, no, I'm just teasing
I've seen so many Excel charts in my academic life that I know the defaults, which says way more about my feeble life than you! :D

2. The Tron pic is what made the post...
...just kidding.

Oh, and your graphs are racist and sexist!

Also kidding.

4. I caucused for Obama in Washington as well!
Since that day, I have become more and more convinced that Obama is what America needs at this time.
He ain't Jefferson nor Lincoln, Roosevelt or Kennedy, he is Obama. When it is all said and done, I believe history will compare him favorably among those noteworthy Presidents. YES, WE CAN!

7. I think our state picks pretty good people.
Maybe I'm biased, but I think we've got some pretty smart cookies here.

9. It's rather more work, but...
It would be really interesting to see this with superdelegates included. A lot of people forget (or seem to want to) that Clinton had a 60-70 lead in SDs before a single ballot was cast - on reason she was tipped as a surefire winner going into the contest.

23. I like this one even better, well done!!!
It really shows how hard Obama has worked to be where he is today. Clinton had a big advantage going out of the starting gate with all those superdelegates. There must have been many tired nights when Obama felt like he would never be able to close the gap.

Looks like Obama is ahead!:D

Now, you and I could go back to our alternate-world debate from the other night. That had possibilities! (I still chuckle about that one.)

If you take the derivative, it is clearly Louisiana where the momentum shifted. :)
