NYT: Obama Wants to Move Nation "Beyond 9/11"

An American cultural shift is a tricky business to track. But if applause lines are a useful meter, then the Sept. 11th terror attacks may be losing their hold on the American political imagination. And that’s a striking departure from the 2004 election when no corner of the nation seemed immune to terror’s fears.

Dozens of Orange Alerts later, not to mention a lost election or two, many Democratic voters seem to have moved on beyond their 9/11 fears. Few of Barack Obama’s applause lines that draw more vigorous cheers than his insistence on reclaiming 9/11.

“I want to end the fever of fear,” he said in Greensburg, Pa., last weekend, a line he has repeated a dozen times since. “I want to end the way 9/11 is used to scare people and stop them from coming together around our common problems.”

He quickly added that he will be vigorous in defending the United States — “I won’t hesitate to strike at those who would do us harm.” And he notes that he has gone on record saying he will pursue those who perpetrated the terror attacks, even into the tribal lands of Pakistan if the intelligence is good.

9. Yes..."move on" was told to us by politicians and the media

after the stolen elections. Now they want us to forget about finding out the truth of who did 911? No way. I'm a patriotic citizen whose duty it is to challenge my government not cover up its lies.

The families of 911 still don't have their questions answered. Its easy to "move on" if your weren't a victim. In a way all of America was a victim on 911. I still see that woman hanging onto the outside of the WTC with no place to go. 200 jumped to their death.

If we don't find out the truth we will be responsible for covering a horrible crime (the most horrific next to Katrina). They do keep happening...these disaster because the criminals who do them haven't been held accountable. Our security and defense leaders betrayed and failed us.

Obamas seems to be cleaning the slate for the Bush administration lies. I call it "change of face law". The corrupt Congress and agency heads leave with their bag of plunder.

Justice denied is justice? I'd call it lawlessness.
