Edited on Wed Apr-02-08 03:02 PM by malik flavors
It's 3 A.M., there's an economic emergency, and John McCain just lets the phone ring.

21. The ad was already made and Hillary is running out of chances to use it.
Why waste the money, huh?

8. that's a pretty bad ad
the whole point of the 3am call is to deal with real emergencies. what the hell is she going to do at 3am to stop home foreclosures?

What economic emergency regarding housing would even occur at 3am? Obviously she have been aware of it before she even went to bed.

10. You can't at least be happy..
.. that her ad was attacking McCain about an issue that both Obama and Hillary can kick his ass on?

That is the direction we need to be going, and those kind of commercials will not hurt the Democratic Party or Democratic Nominee.

but I do wish she'd retire the 3AM line.

9. Good move by her campaign
She does much better in the polls when she's attacking McCain and not Obama.

Smart move.

12. Ugh - this ploy again ?!?
Battling McCain as if she were the nominee. It's even more embarrassing now that she's even less likely to win than when she first started doing it.

13. She's doing this, among other reasons, to re-establish herself as a contender for the WH
thereby lessening the impact of the calls for her to drop out.

Good move.

18. It's a winning strategy
for the Democratic party to have both candidates make the case about how much better they are than McCain - instead of bashing the other Democrat. Way to go!

There's the target folks: McCain.

Although I have to wonder just how much mileage the Clinton campaign is hoping to get out of this one commercial.

22. This can work for her in two ways
First, it can re-establish the dignity of her campaign to where it was before the "kitchen sink" strategy, raising her positive numbers.

Second, she has to know it is over for her. Going out by attacking the Republican and urging voters to vote Democratic no matter who wins the nomination would be a graceful and classy exit strategy.

24. Awesome!
This is what they both should do. They have $90 million in February fundraising. If they keep raising money like that, they should both start going after McCain rather than each other. Tag team his ass and make him unelectable!

26. If Hillary had run her entire primary campaign like this, we "Obamatons" wouldn't....
have had any reason for attacking her, and she would have even had a better chance of surpassing Obama. But now it's too late for her. The math has already sealed it.

But McCain can't come to the phone because it's past his bedtime. He'll get back to you in the morning.

35. It's nice to see our candidates taking on John McCain
But this particular ad makes no sense to me.

The economic crisis is already happening now.

Why would the President try to deal with it at 3AM?

Why are all these people doing their household finances at 3AM?

Did something happen in Tokyo or Hong Kong?

Then the time difference might explain it.

3AM in Washington is 8AM in London and around 4PM in Hong Kong (I think)
